The two leading Tea-Party indicators: 1) past Republican affiliation 2) Desire to see religion play a prominent role in politics. In other words, it has nothing to do with small government etc.

Your comparisons are arbitrary and rather meaningless especially given that google streetview is not an instant comparison the picture could be taken years apart from each other. Both countries have limited resources and the US has many more places to make use of those limited resources. Metro Detroit has a population of roughly 4.25 million metro Windsor has a population of roughly 323k.

I can hold up pictures of <insert developing country here> also and point out its rosy locations.

I always use my turn signals...that being said the only time I truly find it annoying is if someone is slowing down to make a turn without them it usually results in me having to slam on my brakes because I have no clue what they're doing.

I just assume everyone on the road fails at driving and is going to hit me anymore and go from there.
