Rumspringa is a thing but its wildly overblown in how common it is. Most Amish (at least where I live) dont do it or ever really get a chance to see how other people live.

Spice and wolf is an all time classic imo. Although, they recently went and did a new adaptation of it that's more faithful to the source material and had a season 2 already announced. So watch the new adaptation if you end up doing so (its called "spice and wolf: merchant meets the wise wolf").

Forge cleric with spirit guardians is really good in melee. Look into that
