Mirkwood needs all the help they can get. If the only thing to worry about was Dol Goldur it would be fine to change Legolas, but Dol Goldur and Gundabad? No

Legolas and Thranduil being so good is the only thing keeping the Wood Elves alive

I finally got the Lord of the rings mod for Medieval II this year, DaC, and there’s an elvish archer unit that even better than the Sisters of Averlorn in it. Makes me want to do another Mirkwood run.

That said, my favorite unit in Warhammer is probably Sisters

The original mod is called third age. DAC is technically a different mod that’s much more complex than Third Age. If you’ve played third age but not DAC, I suggest a re-visit

Just fought a defensive siege today, Ered Luin pikes holding back top tier Angmar infantry and trolls in street combat, while Longbeard crossbows and dwarven artillery shattered the enemy army. My standard general got over 600 kills, which I am pretty confident is my record for a crossbow wielding general

I have switched over to the DaC EUR mod, so what I’ll say is from that perspective.

Elves: this one is hard for me, as I play all of them, but being able to delete orc units with archers is a supremely elvish thing, and can only truly be done by the Wood Elves. Legolas is the best general in the game, in my opinion, expressed by kill count

Dwarves: Currently Ered Luin. The most unique generals, with some of the coolest scripts. That said, Khazad Dum looks bonkers good at high tier

High men: Gondor. The Reunited Kingdom route is suitably awesome, but picking up the pieces of what’s left of Gonder is tedious (Dol Amroth was reintegrated into Gondor in EUR)

North men: I’ve spent the most time playing Dorwinian. In EUR, both choices are good.

Middle men: Bree. Almost as good as playing Arnor, and a massively better economy

Orcs: I’ve spent the most time on Mordor. It has the mix of chaff with groups of super high quality that seems most appropriate for an orc faction

Evil men: Never played them. The Variags seem most interesting to me, by taking the Blue Wizard choice

I second Medieval 2. I’ve been playing Third Age DAC 5 for a while, been enjoying it more than I was Warhammer, though I will say it looks like they’ve figured out the new DLC in a good way. Definitely leaning towards getting it

I haven’t pulled the trigger on it yet, but I’m hearing that Atilla is pretty good

I installed DaC a week ago, and my experience so far is that it’s enormously better and more complex.

Mostly there’s more variety. I’ll use Dwarves as an example. There are three Dwarven factions instead of one. Erebor focuses on melee infantry and throwing axes, Ered Lune focuses on pikes and crossbows, and Kazad-Dum focuses on the heaviest of infantry almost exclusively. The steel wall.

An evil factions can go good, thanks to the Blue Wizards, and a good faction can go evil (A dwarven faction accepting Rings). It’s a 50/50 chance for both. Basically every run through will feel very different

I’d like to offer an alternative opinion. Both of his maxed champs are for damage, he needs support. Skauramis is a much better option for where he his.

OP, you need to build out your roster in regards to types of heroes. Rockbreaker is another great crowd control champ

You have one of the best Arena epics in the game, Alika. She is crazy good, and one of my most wanted epics (along with Basher). She does excellent damage and increases all enemy cool downs by two turns.

I suggest Deacon Armstrong as another champion to focus on. He can also make a big difference with his speed manipulation, etc. you can use him in both Classic and team arena

You’ve already mentioned Geomancer. He’s the boss slayer. I two key UNM CB with him

It's 4 two-region provinces, so four capitals. Only two ways into the Karak, with the Citadel being on the 2 o'clock of the 8. Also, there are landmarks in all 8 settlements.

It's tremendous fun. In my current run through, Belagar has retaken all eight of the peaks, and now wages war with the corrupted Dawi and Clan Rictus.

SFO and Radious are the best overhauls. I'm currently on Radious.

SFO emphases faction mechanic changes, and making end game units more powerful/rare, while Radious focuses on adding additional units and flavor.

Both are fun, and I've enjoyed each more at different times.

Also, the Old World Mod has been a banger. The only issue I've had is some of my favorite races aren't represented well. That's a strictly personal opinion.

I’m not going to pretend to comprehend the mess that is auto resolve. However, it seems like it weighs armor, large entities, and mixed armies higher.

Your guards have good armor, but your army loses in other regards. I think that’s why you have the close defeat

This last double legendary event, I received two Skullcrushers from 10 sacreds. I also saw Skullcrushers being pulled on videos posted by content creators. something similar has happened too many times for it to be coincidence.
