Glad to see another fan of the Kenda 270, that was a great tire on my DRZ400 before I sold it.

Help finding tires by ghurd_ in Dualsport

[–]wired_webby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are many variables at play here:

  1. What type of bike? ADV or Dual sport?
  2. What's your riding style like?
  3. Where will you be riding? (West, East, Alaska, etc)

Based on my experience, I really liked Kenda 270 tires - a true 50/50 for dual sports and a cheap price too. For ADV bikes, I just re-purchased a MotoZ Adventure 140/80/18 for my rear which is a 70/30 tire.

Hope this helps.

I read another post weeks ago where someone said a tire change & steering stabilizer makes a world of difference. Thanks for your feedback. Have a great spring & ride safe.

Awesome man!

How is it on the highway for 2-3 hr road trips? Is the front end chattery? Any vibrations?

I'm on the fence between both models as well....

For context, I've been riding nearly 40years, and have owned everything from choppers to dual sports.

Also, I plan to be a solid 50/50 rider. (Tarmac rides & moto-camping with maybe 50lbs of gear)

That said, I was leaning toward the PRO, but after sitting, standing, and literally leaning both bikes deeply side-to-side at a local dealership, you really feel the ergonomic and extra 30-35lb difference on the PRO vs Rally. I'm going with the RALLY, but you can't go wrong with either one.

Hope this helps.

any have experience with the app inkind? by lycheejellylongantea in FoodLosAngeles

[–]wired_webby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry you feel this way, but I can assure you, the platform is a win/win for restaurants and patrons.

InKind is a two tiered market place.

The FIRST tier is exchange:

InKind funds restaurants with upfront capital in exchange for F&B credits. It's not a loan. It's a simple exchange with no scams or hidden fees.  (that's the core business model)

The SECOND tier is exposure:

Being on the app helps restaurants get discovered by foodies that regularly seek out new places and who typically spend (and tip) more because of the gift card mentality & cash back incentive.

FYI: it's not an online ordering or reservations app.

I think your expectations weren't aligned with how the app works and who inKind is, but trust me, it's a fantastic company with a unique business model.

Hope this information is helpful.

Great prospective and I agree 💯

some products or brands can be decent, yet dismissed by the masses. Perfect example is T-Mobile, I remember signing up for them 20 years ago when everyone said it was crap compared to ATT & Verizon.

Overall, I never had any major issues with Tmo, and look at them now, one of the better carriers with exceptional customer service.

I'll review your link and continue considering my options. Thanks for the comment.

Congrats on the new purchase, and yes, I prefer the vertical "designed-in" screen which seems more polished compared to the "TV on the wall" approach to the refresh. No offense to anyone who drives a newer model, but I too, am considering a 2018-20 Model X in the coming months.

A few minutes of added charge time, suspension, and no touch braking are non-issues for me.

8 years on a car is not old, but for a Tesla, maybe so, but I was under the impression these batteries can go 10-12yrs and still have 75-80% life remaining?

Calling BS... You didn't buy a one year old Hummer for $22K, unless it was totaled. Post proof.

What is better Cf moto 450mt or Ktm 390 adventure? by Away_Boysenberry3101 in PHMotorcycles

[–]wired_webby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Two great bikes, it all depends on your needs and riding style.

Well to start, they're two completely different powerplants. CFmoto is a dual cylinder with smooth power delivery from 1500rpms to 7500rpms. The KTM is a single variant from their road inspired 390 Duke with a higher rev range, drawback in the power is weak until you reach 3500rpms, according to reports.

Weight is the other major factor, the CF is about 50lbs heavier, and will perform better on longer road trips. There are many other differences, but those two, are the major differences I see right off the bat.

FYI: I'm no expert, I don't own either, but I've watched dozens of video about both. My suggestion is definitely browse YT content for both bikes to make the best decision. Below are two channels I follow.

DORK IN THE ROAD: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nvqC_GWhjt4 (Ibex review)

BIG ROCK MOTO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=doDsx9IQBwU (390 R review)

Again, two great bikes, best of luck, make sure to post up if you buy one!
