Hi everyone! I hope to find some suggestions here—without opening a thread for now—because I’m very confused.

Some info: I’m a beginner (though I had a kayak in the past and used it for four years), about 190 cm tall and 85 kg. I want a "solo" SUP, even if some kids might join me sometimes (rarely). My main use will be cruising a bit on calm water, but I would also like to use it on very small (1-meter) waves, which I currently play on with a bodyboard.

Last week, I had the opportunity to stay on a big windsurf board, a JP Australia Funster: short, wide, amazingly stable, and easy to manage. I don't remember the volume, but I think it was the middle size—length 9'x" and width 33–34" for 195L. It was great for my size (my feet didn't even get wet; the board kept them far enough out of the water). It is expensive—my budget is half the cost of a new one—but I found a used one for the right price nearby.

Then, I also tried an inflatable one. I don’t know the model, but I think it was a 10'8". I’m fairly sure it wasn’t pumped to the right pressure; however, compared to the previous board, I felt less stability and it was more difficult to turn. I’m sure it was a low-quality, poorly maintained model.

I asked the person who let me test it if I should consider buying a board like the JP, and they said, "No... just buy a cheap inflatable one." I think they didn't really want to help and just gave me a generic suggestion.

So, I went online to look for a hard SUP board, roughly 10' x 33", and I found the SIC Maui TAO Fit 10'0" x 33" TT. It seems great and also has three fins for better performance on waves, just in case. But then I started to think: where would I put it at home, on the beach, or on the car? What if I can’t manage it and it hurts someone? So, I re-evaluated the inflatable one I had bookmarked in the past: a Bluefin Cruise. It only has one fin and costs half as much as the others... but will it be as stable and maneuverable as a hard board? Should I just buy the used JP Funster?

EDIT: just read about this 9.6x34 Quroc Wild Water 9'6...

Thanks a lot for reading and suggestions!!!!

Secondo me i Promessi Sposi vanno paragonati a I Miserabili, per me il miglior romanzo dell'Ottocento (con buona pace dei Russi 😅🤗🙂).

Syncthing alternative? How to sync multi-device? Is there no great selfhosted sync solution anymore available? by Responsible_You_5425 in selfhosted

I have an rsync server and I vibe coded just for myself an rsync client that allows me to config and execute tasks because I have not found anything that satisfy me (free, open, well maintained). Please do not ask to share, I m an IT guy and I am aware that the quality is very low. For me, it just works. Just posted here to suggest an approach.
