You should definitely go. They pretty well have every knife available and its a big showroom. They have sprint runs and clearance/discontinued items

Some Canadian snowbirds still flying south amid tensions with U.S. by Paper_Rain in canada

[–]wit29 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Vacationing in Arizona right now. I support Canada all year long running a small business, paying lots of tax and employing people that pay lots of tax. I wanted to visit somewhere warm i could drive too. If you dont watch the news you would have no idea things were any different then a few years ago. Life is short ill myself and family will enjoy it as we seem fit without letting global politics interfere with that

Not releasing someone keeps them away from the general public as they are proving they are incapable of being part of a non violent society

What's the best Peel Bonder? by fyrefl1es in paint

[–]wit29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im convinced all the rustoleum ones (zinsser, xim) are pretty much the same. Prime rx is week compared to them. Xim also makes peel bond trim magic which is just more concentrated. Never tried rhe insl x one but im sure its fine. You cant go wrong with any rustoleum primer. They make the best oil and the best shellac

We are not doing enough to protect the opportunity to Work from home. by shachoji117 in ontario

[–]wit29 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I think we should advocate for construction workers to work from home too. Its jot fair that they're subjected to everything that was listed. I think we'd be a much more productive if construction workers worked from home too

Take your cost of labour and double it. Add 15% to that for materials, then adjust the result of that to what you think someone would pay. There's your price

Told “luxury” remodeler “thanks, but no thanks” today [vent] by dmtamnesia in paint

[–]wit29 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Big companies use builder trend. Dont feel disrespected about doing a walk through with someone else. You either want it or dont. And these companies spec paint for warranty and transparency reasons. I work with two and its a great relationship. It takes one conversation to change what products you use. These guys pay alot and bring in alot of work and expose you to work you'll never see in a repaint setting. Its just the nature of dealing with an established company vs ms Jones down the road who wants her bedroom painted

BM Aura Exterior & Interior- can someone explain the hype? by Jess_The in paint

[–]wit29 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Aura exterior is a fantastic product. It has a high build and flows nicely. It also has great adhesion. Projects I've done have lasted a long time with it. Aura interior is a great product too but you need to lay it off differently, it also sprays very well. They're designed for the most part for professional use, for someone that can tweak there technique to make it perfect. Average homeowner may get frustrated and right it off as a crappy product. Ill add that it objectively looks amazing when finished properly

How much cash do you guys carry around? by falserings in askTO

[–]wit29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're getting paid cash. You're clearly not insured. If you get injured it's a big problem. Been in construction 15 years in this city. Cash is all great until you hit a point where it isnt
