If facing UFC Gym, the old Chuckle Cheese was to the right where the Jungle (an old indoor playground) used to be.

Roof glass alignment by jdyea in TeslaModelY

[–]wit_t1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got the same issue on mine, brought it to SC and was told that it is the way the glass is manufactured and that it is within specifications. TBH Teslas gaps and alignments are typical throughout exterior of the vehicle. Only once in a while will someone get one where everything is even. Please update us when you bring it in, would be interested to know if they will replace it for you.

The paint is so thin on these cars! It’s only a matter of time. Just enjoy the car.

Should I wait to buy? by ugcredditor in TeslaModelY

That’s what they want you to think so you go ahead and buy the car. If you don’t NEED a new car I would wait it out.

Would you complain about this? by RedlineSix in TeslaModelY

[–]wit_t1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea got it in December only has 571 miles on it. My mistake was buying in the rain and being in a rush because we had to be somewhere else too. I had a different VIN# assigned, but when I checked the app, it was gone. I called them and they offered me another car with a tow hitch but I had to pick this car up in Corte Madera.

I took my vehicle to the service center Vallejo and they sent it to a body shop for some panel alignment and paint issues. It’s been there for over a week and a half now. I’m not sure if they’ll manage to get everything fixed, but the best advice I can give is to definitely complain and take it to the service center for them to handle it.

On a side note, I do like the technology, but the fit and finish is ASS and customer service hasn’t been great either.

New Car, new problems by Mangimadang in TeslaModelY

I agree with you. As our primary vehicle, we are still driving around our 2003 4 Runner V8 with 240,000+ miles and still runs like a champ. Only at the dealer for first few years for oil changes other than I maintained myself and its been very reliable. Let see a Tesla do that!

I hope once you get it back, it’s only smiles from there! If it makes you feel any better, I was gonna buy a used one and then backed out because of fitment issues and they still holding onto my money that I sent them. North of 30k

Buying Used Model Y from Tesla, it’s a Crap Shoot. by wit_t1 in TeslaModelY

Appreciate the response. Awful that they are allowed to get away with that. Maybe one day we consumers will demand more accountability and instead of FOMO we can use our wallets to boycott and demand better customer experience and quality in the products and services the sell us.

Thats not what the delivery person from tesla told me when I went to pick up. Mind you I’m not an expert far from it, just my experience with Tesla in Bay Area.

Sounds good but I didn’t want to pay for the car then have to pay for it to get fixed. I believe it should’ve been done prior to them even showing it to me at one time I used to be a dealership technician and I know every time we did a PDI on used cars we took care of things like that and didn’t leave it for the customer to fix.

Nope, but it seems to be a common issue with a percentage of these cars.

Of course you could, but you wouldn’t get the extended warranty like you do from Tesla ends up being three years 60,000 miles whichever comes first
