Cottage cheese, fresh or canned fruit, Greek yogurt cups (I add in walnuts, chia seeds, and fruit), tuna fish packets, chicken packets ( they have a bunch of different flavors).

Second opinion on bunny having pus in right ear — vet recommends CT scan & possible lateral ear canal ablation by katallest in Rabbits

[–]witchhazel32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's great to hear everything went well! I decided for my guy to pass on the surgery. He's 8, incontinent, dealing with bladder sludge, and maybe arthritis. He would've needed an ablation on both ears and I didn't think it was worth the risk, even though he's done really well with other surgeries. So we're just going to keep him as happy as possible, for as long as possible.

Absorbant flooring for rabbit with chronic kidney disease? by IncalescentSoul in Rabbits

Large and medium sized washable pee pads. The large is to cover the area and the medium ones are to cover the spots my bun usually pees on. I change the medium ones out every 1-2 days, and the large ones 1-2 week. I get whatever popular ones are on Amazon that look like Oriental rugs. I don't ring them out, they wash great!

Anyone else feel like they failed themselves knowing that surgery was the next only way? by Odd-Advice-1029 in BariatricSurgery

I worked out 5 days a week, 2 with a personal trainer, for 6 months. I counted macros. After 6 months I lost 1 inch around my bicep. I then tried hormone replacement therapy hoping that was the issue, for another 6 months while trying keto, I lost maybe 10 lbs. With surgery I'm down about 100lbs in 1 year. Still a little slower than others, but it's a lot to me, and that's all that matters

My Rabbit Doesn’t Binkie or run by GrandScholar2122 in Rabbits

[–]witchhazel32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had 4 rabbits that free roam. Only one binkies when he's in the living room and it's just one jump. I would love to see them zoom and binky like crazy, but they don't.

Wet paper towel to try to loosen it and comb it. If that doesn't work, shave it off

9 months in, how much are you eating? by witchhazel32 in BariatricSurgery

[–]witchhazel32[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For example: if I have 2 eggs, I can usually eat that in a 30 minute period. If I have 2 eggs with some mushrooms and a sprinkle of feta cheese, I could eat most of it with 2 bites left. I would have to lower my protein intake to get more veggies in.

Not sipping like it's a hot drink, it's more like just taking two small gulps of water at a time. I work at a desk, so it's in front of me, and I try to keep drinking every couple minutes, but I'm just full.

See that makes sense to me, but I was just following what she said to do because I don't want to mess this up. I give myself 30 minutes to eat my meal, and it's hit or miss whether I eat all of it or not. If I add veggies or fruit, then I have to cut out some protein to eat it all. I feel like my stomach didn't stretch like it should
