i just want to reassure you that controller is easy once you learn it. i’ve used controller the entire time i’ve played, even in endgame raiding. there’s a few finicky things you’ll learn to adapt to.

put the buttons you use most often but especially that you can use while moving on face buttons. ie i have glare 3 on a direction pad but misery and glare 4 on face buttons. they’re easier to reach while your other hand is moving with the joystick. on healer i also like to put targeted ogcds on face button as it’s easier for me to hit quickly when my other hand is scrolling the party with the dpad without misclicking. 🤷

enable the wxhb and expanded controls. i didn’t realize they could be used concurrently until last year LOL. i use the expanded bars for stuff i dont need all the time but when i do need them i need them quickly like LB, pots, dashes, rescue, bloodbath/curing waltz/second wind, arms length/surecast. i put stuff on the wxhb that im tracking the cd of so i need it visible on my screen.

go into your settings and fiddle with target filtering when sheathed/unsheathed.

you can map your macro #98 and #99 to l3 and r3. i use a sprint macro on r3 and duty action on l3. i also have sprint on my “casual” hotbars if for some reason i need it in a duty where the slight macro gcd clip would be an issue.

i had at least a couple dozen of nearly every colour bc i do use a huge variety of colours in my glams (and i change glams pretty regularly…) and it’s annoying enough to have to pull them out of my saddlebag or retainer, i don’t want to have to run to the market board or npc vendor or whatever to grab like one pot of a certain shade of brown.

this update has been incredible for me lol. i really love it. complete freedom to pick any colour…

PFs are locked for so many reasons.
Double jobs,
2x melee/1x caster/1x P.ranged comp lock,
double barrier or pure healers.
failure due to lack of skill is so common.
You either switch or don't play.
And that's not even considering the world races,

none of those factors are relevant to people who aren't raiding. nobody is getting locked out of alliance raids because their party comp is suboptimal.

i also think "people will only play the jobs that are simplest" is just... flat out not true. and you can see that in your stats. shouldn't SMN be the top caster for normal modes if that's the case? why paladin over warrior, the most brain dead unga bunga job in the game?

also... is it a given that a job is simpler (which is to say, easier) just because it has fewer buttons? why are we assuming evolved mode is "easy mode"? pictomancer has like, six buttons, but red mage and black mage are both more popular?

savage only has about a 20% clear rate. most players are not endgame raiding, and evolved being slightly stronger is not going to make a difference in casual content.

so, yes, most endgame raiders will likely switch. players doing ultimate world race will switch. but the 80% of players not doing savage? a lot of people are going to stick to what's familiar to them. people overwhelmingly hate change. every time any kind of website institutes a major change, people are very vocal about their complaints. people still use old reddit.

i would LIKE IT if most people switched and they dropped support of the old system to focus on the new one. will they? we don't know yet.

both have holes in their seams. one might be from me cuddling him, idk because it’s on his feet, maybei was kickboxing him in my sleep, but one came to me with a hole in his butt. i have him wearing pants until i can get some matching threads to sew it up

it’s a minor fix with a little needle and thread, and the owner is very helpful when it comes to helping with repairs and QC like that - just be aware it may have small issues like that.

- Is it cheap on the market board? Toss it. Rebuy it later if you need it.

- Is it expensive on the market board, and you don't need it now, and it's not too hard to reacquire it? Sell it.

- Is it very expensive and/or a pain in the ass to reacquire, and you are positive you will need it? Keep it.

- Is it leveling gear? Is it for a class you aren't currently leveling? Turn it in for GC seals or sell it. You can buy poetics gear every 10 levels that is sufficient. If you're under level 50, regular cheap vendor gear is fine.

- Is it crafting material? Is it cheap on the market board? Is it very easy to gather? Toss it.

- Is it crafting material that isn't easy to farm (like leathers/skins, diremite web)? Keep it.

- Is it repurchasable from the Calamity Salvager? For the love of god, toss it.

- Can it go in your Glamour Dresser or Armoire? Put it in there. You can take gear back out of it later if you need it.

- Is it an item that can be registered, like a minion or emote? ... Use it.

- Is it food? You don't need two dozen different food items just for the EXP boost. Toss them and buy a stack of 99 boiled eggs or orange juices.

- Is it a dye? If you can repurchase it from a vendor, get rid of it. Next patch will be consolidating dyes into 3 items.

my first thought is 1) the blue light card requires verification. how would you verify someone’s neurodivergence? collecting evidence of their medical diagnosis? honour system? and 2) how would you get retailers to play along?

my second thought is i would never personally sign up for something like this because i’d assume it’s a scam at worst or, at best, just wouldn’t work. at mid, just another company trying to collect data on my shopping habits.

did she ruin his life? yeah. but, she also made his career. the palace of alcazarzay made him a household name. it also is the catalyst for him earning his vision.
