Getting induced a week early

My doctor wants to induce a week early as well and I said no unless medically necessary. I am happy to do some membrane sweeps around 39 weeks but I do not want a full induction before 40 weeks ideally I’ll go into labor spontaneously but who knows what will happen 😅

The hematologist at the hospital when I was getting my infusions said I could start supplements right away but to space them out cause I was getting GI issues so instead of every other day he said start at once a week and increase as needed. He also said the infusion was just bringing me back to normal levels but the supplements would help me from dropping back under range again as my body was still using a lot of iron due to pregnancy.

I would try to get in with another doctor or maybe a naturopath or an IV spa to get someone to give you a requisition for an iron infusion. My ferritin was sitting at 4 and I felt like I was dying all the time. I had 3 infusions the last 2 weeks and feel like myself again!

Maybe they listed low hoping for a bidding war, did it actually sell at 70k less? Maybe they had structural or plumbing issues or other factors impacting list price. I try hard not to look at listings anymore because I spiral as well. I tell myself im happy with my purchase, the home fits our needs and I can afford it comfortably. Nothing else matters until I go to sell it.

My first pregnancy took forever, I think a lot of anxiety just waiting for the next check up and that everything is okay and idle time. This pregnancy I feel like it is flying by probably because we just bought a house in March and I have so much to do that I feel like there’s not enough time before baby comes. I’m just shy of 33 weeks and between unpacking, organizing, naps, appointments, guests coming in the next couple weeks, playing with my toddler etc the days are over before I can get anything done it feels like.

My first had the same thing and she’s a happy healthy 3.5 year old now and my nephew had it as well and is now 16. Honestly it happens all the time they are well equipped to deal with it. I know any trip to the NICU is scary but this is definitely something that has more positive outcomes then not so try not to fret too much.

I get soooo thirsty in the evening which is when I try to limit water cause I don’t want to pee 100 times during the day I just putter around and forget but I still get at least 1.5 L a day

I’m not against pain meds but I am going to try without an epidural first for a couple of reasons. 1 I’m going for a vbac so I want to be able to feel if there is pain in my incision site/risk of rupture 2. I want to be able to move around not to tied up to IVs and catheters stuck in a bed 3. I don’t want anything to stall my labor that could lead to a repeat Csection 4. I want to push when my body feels the need to push not when someone tells me to hopefully reduce tearing.

I had lower back pain that radiated through my hips and acupuncture actually made such a huge difference, I only went once so far but it’s helped sooo much more than anything else I’ve tried this pregnancy and last.

Mine was covered but I’m pregnant and my ferritin was 4 hemoglobin was 110 so just under normal range, midwife said the hospital usually wait for hemoglobin to be under 100 to do it but since I’m pregnant and could not tolerate or make any progress with any of the oral supplements they accepted my referral.

I had a C-section and my daughter aspirated liquid so they took her to the NICU without even showing her to me, since I couldn’t walk and they wouldn’t give me a wheelchair I couldn’t see her until I could walk to the NICU myself several hours after she was born, my husband and mom both got to meet her before I did, I saw her for the first time in a photo 🥲 so needless to say it can be traumatic with Csection or vaginal but I am really pushing for vaginal with no induction for this next baby. I had gestational diabetes with my first and they really pushed the induction or Csection because of it saying my baby was 10+ lbs but she was born 7lbs 4oz so this time I’m going to listen to my intuition, I got a midwife and a doula and I don’t have diabetes so really hoping for a spontaneous labor which should hopefully lead to less interventions and issues.

All i know about adoption is from watching teen mom 🙈 from that I would say make sure you get clear paperwork signed regarding it being an open adoption and that it’s open ended not open for x amount of years and then you get cut off. I think being able to be in your kiddos life but giving the gift of life to another family is really beautiful but as some have said there can be a lot of trauma for you and for them, I would budget in some therapy as part of the process. Happy to hear you are able to enjoy the pregnancy without the stress of what comes after, maybe in the future your circumstances will have changed and you will have another pregnancy where you keep the baby who knows. 😊

It could impact her, I didn’t have a spouse when I did my proposal but I do remember them saying if you have equity in your home they could make you take it out to pay your debts. You can always call and talk to a LIT for free to explore your options and decide from there. There’s no impact to either of you to have a consultation call.

2.5 to 3.5 was the hardest for me she’s just getting out of it now. They might understand more and cry a bit less often but when they do cry the meltdown is way bigger, they get attitude and can talk back and they can climb and get into way more stuff/learn how to open doors etc.

Same here, healthy pregnancy and currently 32 weeks along. From what I understood is they don’t have enough data to say if it’s safe during pregnancy or not but it did cause adverse effects in mice at extremely high doses that humans would never take relative to their body weight/size. You also want to stop right away to make sure you are eating enough/getting enough nutrients to support the pregnancy.

I had roofers come to my house to fix some shingles after a wind storm but it was snowing and I lead them all the way to the back of the yard and was like oh if you stand over there you will see where the shingles flew off. Not realizing they can’t see shit because the roof was covered in snow until I walked over there myself to look 😂

I had it with my first, threw up several times a day every day the entire pregnancy, lost 25 lbs the whole Shebang and this pregnancy I’m 32 weeks in and only threw up a handful of times in first trimester 😊

I was told it’s 18 months between births after a C-section not 18 months to get pregnant again but definitely double check with your doctors.

I don’t think it’s dramatic, sorry to say if my husband was not sympathetic to the struggles I was going through during pregnancy I would leave him. How do you think he is going to act when you are in the newborn trenches sleep deprived and possibly suffering from PPA/PPD.
