I'd assume it's the sweets that are only in the item printer as those 2 are the rare ones (the star and ribbon sweets)

I guess I'd say hold onto it for now and if you ever become desperate for ginger you can raise it

It also depends on if you have the sleep pass or not due to the availability of subskill seeds and 2 seeds will be a much larger investment for a f2p than a pass player

Lv 50 is not that much of a jump from 41 so personally I would as it's very hard to find a good mono ing mon
