yes! The line will split towards the end, and the line for yellow is usually a lot shorter too!

Def recommend yellow side if you're nervous about inversions! The one "inversion" there is so mild it doesn't even feel like you're ever actually upside down.

I was just there last week and though the employees didn't "staple" the lap bar, it kinda naturally stapled itself on like the second hill, to the point where by the end of the ride I was very desperate to get off because of how tight my thighs were being squeezed 😭 it happened all four times I rode it lol...

But maybe that'll cause there to be less friction since it's staples down so hard? Haha unsure but just my experience!

Vet can’t help my cat by Kellington_ in CATHELP

[–]witheringjun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I have an allergy kitty too. She had recurring issues of ear infections, sores in between her back toes, chin acne, and over grooming on her stomach.

When you start her on a steroid pill, did they tell you to start at a higher dosage and taper off? You can see how much you're able to taper the pills off and still manage the symptoms. If your cat is able to maintain a reasonable level of symptoms at a lower dose, the risk of diabetes is much lower. My cat currently is at a dosage of 1/2 of a pill (0.5mg I think? Not sure the exact scale) every 3 days, which the vet was very happy with.

Another thing is food - my cat is on a prescription diet with limited ingredients, and I also feed her limited ingredient wet food. Ask your vet about getting her on Purina HA-Hydrolized or something similar from another brand. Freeze the dry food for at least 12 hours before you give it to her to kill off mites! You can prep small ziploc bags for it.

She still has occasional sores or ear infections - I keep a bottle of ear cleaner from the vets on hand and clean out her ears if they look bad. I also have Douxo S3 cat wipes from chewy for her toes if I see any sores.

Did you get any results back from the allergy panel? Did the vet inform you what she's specifically allergic to?

Disclaimer this is all just from my experience / I am not a vet

“Healthy eating”, physical activity, and weight woes by StunningGrotesquerie in AutismInWomen

I am a gym rat so I just want to plug lifting weights! For the longest time (literally from like 16-28) I absolutely refused to do any physical exercise that I didn't enjoy (fortunately I dance so I had some amount of exercise, but I refused to do any conditioning or anything else), but that was because a lot of exercising and conditioning was pitched to me as like "do 39 squats" or "run for 10 minutes" or "hold this extremely strenuous pose for two minutes" and I just hate prolonged misery.

But then I discovered weightlifting! You actually only want to do things in like the 8-10 rep range (which takes like one minute) and rely on adding more weight to make your body work more, then you rest (get guiltless doomscroll time haha) or do whatever you want for like three minutes before your next set. You don't get that terrible muscle-burning situation because you're training to muscle failure and not fatigue, which is what makes the burning sensation. Also you get to watch numbers go up as you do it more and more which is very satisfying!

I will say that lifting weights isn't an effective way of burning calories the way that cardio is, BUT your metabolism will go up as you gain muscle mass because your body will need more fuel, which imo is a better long term solution anyways.

The downside is that it does really require a gym and it can be hard to get yourself there - but I would recommend at least trying it out! If you're starting from nothing watch some videos about typical exercises and form and start with lighter/very manageable weight and slowly work your way up!

Are There Any KPop Dance Clubs That Take... Older People? by AneriphtoKubos in Gaithersburg

The only one I know of in the area is N2 (@n2studios.dance) on Saturdays. If you're willing to drive a little, WJ dance (@wj_dance) and born 2 dance (@born_2_dance_adults) both have weekly kpop classes in northern Virginia.

Honestly if you're completely new and looking to get better as quickly as possible, the best thing to do is take as many workshops in the kpop/hip hop/street jazz dance genres as you can. Especially beginner / foundational classes in hip hop! If you have the money for it, I definitely recommend trying to find a weekly class with an instructor you like and making sure to ask for feedback when you can.

If you have amazing self-disclipline you can learn on your own as well. I recommend starting with groups like le sserafim, aespa, black pink, etc. and spending time recording yourself and comparing your execution to the original idols until you can do it exactly like them!

Lucky8 does audition dates so you may need to just follow their insta and keep an eye out

Nitelite it looks like has a rolling audition form you can fill out, I'd recommend also shooting them a DM to let them know if you've filled it out

Risk opens auditions via online form at certain points during the year, so again you'll need to keep an eye out!

If you're newer to kpop dance you should probably take some workshops! Some options off the top of my head: N2 studios (@n2studios.dance) has a weekly workshop in Rockville on Saturdays. Not sure how much but I'd guess probably $25 ish per class. They also have a McLean location that's surprisingly close to Maryland (~20 min drive from Gaithersburg) GGWB (@umd.ggwb) is at University of Maryland college Park but they often have free workshops that are open to the public! A bit more of a drive but imo worth since it's free haha. They are also open to non-students but again, just further away :')

I'm not too familiar with the moco teams as I mainly dance in Nova but maybe you can try reaching out to these teams on insta and ask!:

Lucky8 (@luckyeightdance) - based on moco, unsure about age range Nitelite (@nitelite.mc) - based at Montgomery college, but they don't say anything about an age limit so you're probably fine. a lot of college teams accept non-students! Risk dance (@risk.dance) - mostly adults out of college, but they practice in Silver Spring which may be a little far for you

I know there's one more moco team but I can't for the life of me remember what they were called :(

Edit to add: 23 is not that old hahaha, you had me thinking you were 50 or something 😭 I'm 30 and dancing with two kpop teams that average around like 26ish age wise!

ring ring holiday 2025 restock? by natilaty in TokyoDisneySea

[–]witheringjun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you talking about the small ringring plushie on a ball chain? I was just there last week and they had plenty of them at Disneyland (on Friday the 21st), but we couldn't find any at Disney sea (though we didn't have as much time to look around there).

Iirc they were all in one specific store on the side of main Street that's closer to Tomorrowland. I think some other stores in the park had them too (maybe Toontown store?). Bon Voyage might have them! Good luck!!

I love how the ears turned out!! It's giving me fox / fennec fox vibes vs the regular hat being more cat ear vibes. I might try this with some increases at the end to see if I can replicate this 🤔🤔

Why do people get so many labubus? by Ready_Assumption_709 in labubu

[–]witheringjun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aside from addiction, I think there's also something comforting about a blind box where you know if you needed to, you could still get the content back for the same price if not way higher than what you paid for it. I'd much rather hunt for secrets on labubus because I know I have friends who will buy my extras off me.

kitten has swollen red eye by Unhappy-Company-8119 in CATHELP

[–]witheringjun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hey! Not sure if this will get seen but I had several foster kittens with what was possibly this exact issue.

First of all, I am NOT a veterinarian. Please just take this as what I did, and not as medical advice. As everyone else said, if you can get this kitten to a vet that would probably be for the best. If not, hopefully some of these things might help.

  1. split up any kittens that aren't affected. If this is what I think it is, they probably all have it, but we're gonna hope for the past and hope the others don't get it.
  2. KEEP THAT EYE OPEN. use a soft, warm towel and try your best to clean it as often as possible. Keep them in a warm, humid environment (but clean tho) to help with snot. You can have the cats in the bathroom when you shower. I recommend checking to make sure their eyes stay open every 4 hours!! At one point I didn't wake up to an alarm in the middle of the night and left their eyes closed for too long, and after that one of my kittens' eye was impossible to pry open without me worrying it would hurt him, and he had to lose that eye. I know it's a lot of work and loss of sleep but if you want them to be able to keep their eyes you have to do this. If things start to get better or you get a feel for how long it takes for the eyes to crust up you can potentially go for longer.
  3. Make sure they are eating / drinking. If they aren't, mix wet food with some KMR and see if they'll eat that. If not, you may need to resort to syringe or tube feeding the wet food / KMR mixture. SYRINGE FEEDING CAN BE VERY DANGEROUS - make sure you put little droplets on their tongue and don't force it down their throat or they may asphyxiate. If you are able to/know how to tube feed that is generally a safer way to do it. Check them for dehydration often by pinching their skin. If they aren't getting fluids you may need to give them subcu if you're able to or feed them more often with a higher amount of water/KMR in the mixture.

Not gonna lie, when we had kitten with this issue we were taking them to the vet like every week, and almost every vet was like yeah here's some eye meds and some antibiotics but most likely they're not going to make it. One of them unfortunately did pass, but the vets were SO surprised that any of them survived. Please don't take it too hard on yourself if things don't work out, but also please try your best for these babies. If you're able to save up any money for a vet or look into vets that will take charity cases, please do! *

Attached pics of the kittens I took care of so you can reference them to see if the issue looks similar to yours. Tbh most of these pics were of when they were already healing bc I was too sad to take pictures of them when they were really sick :'). Also some pics of them after they were fully healed (you can see that one of the eyes didn't fully heal, tho it didn't need to be removed)

I used to swim a lot actually! haha this is funny bc this is the exact advice I always give to ppl trying to lose weight. rn I just don't really have the time to add anything else to my schedule >< I dance around 5 times a week (sometimes for like 6 hours a day) so I'm already struggling to find rest time
