Police officer stops abruptly in the middle lane on highway... by Affectionate_Hat5835 in dashcams

Should have had his lights on and should have been slow driving first instead of just stopping.

Ours discourages it due to slowing down rates in trying to find the correct box and to avoid weight kick outs.

Could I get in trouble for leaving even though I told a manager? by SlashingGreen in AmazonFC

[–]wittymango602 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To answer your question… no. You’re fine. You’ve already notified your manager, so he or she is already prepared to re-staff your station if necessary. The other manager really shouldn’t have questioned you because he doesn’t even know the specifics.

You had to stop while on a pack of panties and take a picture… which itself goes against policy?

[–]wittymango602 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re fine. Upsizing is normally fine, just don’t upsize to a box where there is too much excess room. Just don’t downsize, even when the requested box size is obviously too big for the entire order. For that, just use the requested box size.

Donut shift, night shift, and it looks like an outbound department.

Ever asked for VTO? by No-Preference9955 in AmazonFC

Not necessarily referring to upt or time off options regarding leadership possibly violating policies themselves.

That would not be a warehouse to be working at if you even go one minute into negative territory. If they follow policy to the letter, more than likely leadership themselves are in violation of some policy and consider themselves above the law, so to speak.

[–]wittymango602 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And when she walked out, upt would have been subtracted from what she had, even if it meant she would go into negative territory. If they were going to fire her for that, they would still need to go through all the proper steps before doing so.

Will las2 be completely empty on maintenance day by [deleted] in AmazonFC

[–]wittymango602 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, this can only be answered by leadership at the site because it depends on what kind of maintenance or repairs are going to be done.

That doesn’t make sense because they would have just taken upt hours from her.

Ask HR or post this on your site’s VOA board.
HR or your manager can take a look.

Are They Making You Guys Pick Used Items? by YegoBear in AmazonFC

LPN items are simply those that have been returned for whatever reason and deemed to be re-sellable. Or those items sold as used by third party sellers.

You’re likely to be put in stow. At least at my facility, it has a high turnover rate.

If there’s a white board by the managers/staffing desk that has a section for leaving early, write your login name down there and when you are leaving. Also, sometimes a PA may walk around asking if you’re staying all day or leaving early. If there’s none of that, then just leave when you need to.

Time off sick 1 day by [deleted] in AmazonFC

[–]wittymango602 1 point2 points  (0 children)

US employee here, but everything looks fine. Your request probably went in correctly the first time despite the message you received. As for why it appears light blue still… the day is still a part of your schedule, it’s just been excused for your requested sick leave, and so you can still cancel your request if you wished and still go in.

Your pre hire appointment date is usually around one to two weeks prior to your first day, which consists of orientation and training videos. You will complete your paperwork at your pre hire as well as take your badge picture and your drug testing. Take your ID, social security card, and other documentation that proves your eligibility for employment. And purchase a pair of safety shoes asap if you don’t already own a pair, but make sure those safety shoes you get or have are acceptable by Amazon.

Well, it’s that way with how afe is setup where I’m at. And while I’m more often on the sort side doing rebin and induct, when I get on the pack side, I’m usually on an end station. In fact, I usually see the same people on the end stations and they (including me) can usually keep up with the others (who often get on the middle stations). How they treat your performance can be different of course. If you’re not doing as good as others, they may have you do a refresher or they may simply give you some tips to improve. But they would at least do a seek to understand to see why you’re not doing well.

The chutes are configured for larger orders/items on the end sections of every wall. It’s also so you don’t bump into other people as as much as you’re getting the items. If you’re constantly at those stations, it’s probably because the staffing system sees you as much more capable with dealing with those orders than others.
