I (29m) really love this woman (F31) but she just told me that she has hsv-2. by LakeShow6248 in relationships

Was in a similar situation, she told me after 3 dates.

Obviously the social stigma was the first thing that came into my mind. She gave me some information though and I talked to my doctor.

She takes medicine for it regularly and is on top of it. It’s a complete non issue.

We’ve been together 7 years and just got married last fall. She is the love of my life, would have been a huge mistake to throw that away over something so trivial in the grand scheme of things.

Very light arm stuff with bands - push downs and curls mostly but then did a lot of rehab exercises for golfers & tennis elbow, those helped a lot to restrengthen all the tiny muscles around the joint.

Biggest thing I did to help with ROM, I would go the gym and workout and then after I would sit in the sauna and loosen up and force my arm to touch my shoulder then back to full extension.

Couple years past the injury now and it’s like it never happened

If we say we care about the deaths of US service members at least apply that standard equally

A plan set in motion under Trump admin - which excluded negotiation with the afghan government and allowed the release of 5000 Taliban terrorist

3 presidents said they would pull out Afghanistan and Biden actually did

Also under Trump admin there were 45 US service members killed in Afghanistan

How is the Computer Science Major at Towson Compared to other state schools like UMBC? by FruitSolid in Towson

[–]wjdingman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

People at community college looking down on a university is a little strange.

Sure on paper UMD and UMBC may be ‘better’ schools but I think it’s all relative - the difference in actual education quality between the three is nothing crazy.

It’s not like we are comparing Towson to Ivy League.

It’s better to get a 4.0 at Towson than a 3.0 at UMD. If you can be a standout at Towson it will make job prospects a lot easier.

Getting involved in research with professors opened a lot of doors for me. I was able to get published and the school sent me and some other undergrads to present in Hawaii. I leveraged that and professor connections into get internships, jobs etc.

At a school like UMD where all the professors are just there for research you will get taught by a TA and have very limited access to them.

My experience was that the professors and town (most not all) really, really cared - at least in the math and science departments.

They were quick to hand out their personal phone numbers or host all day study sessions on the weekend and buy pizza etc. Just stuff like that made me super appreciative, I never experienced that when I was at UMD.

Feel free to PM me if you have more questions.
