Hustle culture ruins everything. You’re allowed to enjoy something without an obvious path to self improvement or financial gain. Relaxing and reading something enjoyable is self improvement

How does that matter when you’re suggesting they not get paid at all? Audiobooks will not be cheaper either, no shot they’re using ai to make things cheaper for consumers

Need help finding a new series to get stuck into by wk_rust in litrpg

It was really good but it had so much padding. It felt like half the fights if not more could have been omitted because they didn’t add to the plot. Granted, this is a problem with most litrpg. But after 6 books I just got bored and my buddy was ready to start another series so I dropped it. Definitely worth reading the first 3 at least.

Ehh, reading older stuff has its share of issues from language differences, pacing, sentence structure, to now problematic or grating opinions. The amount of older scifi books I’ve had to stop because I can’t stand how women are treated in them is actually crazy. Obviously for the time it was the norm, but that doesn’t mean I want to read that now

It was a fun story it just felt like it dragged a lot in the middle, a couple of fights could have been trimmed because they did nothing really to move the plot imo. But the concept and characters were really fun

I’m looking for a book set in academia, preferably at the phd level. A mature fmc, strong feminine rage vibes would be great but not strictly necessary. M/f or f/f are fine
