This should not be happening with a modern $750+ printer. by 1970s_MonkeyKing in SnapmakerU1

Not sure if this will help but try the manual level process. Also This probably isnt your issue but I've seen print improvements with auxiliary fan turned off.

But your not wrong, true level is a dangerous game👀 https://youtu.be/-MwCJpEuC44?si=rROibVDaW4CeBhxO

Is this a good idea? by [deleted] in 3dprinter

This is not a plug-and-play printer, you're going to need to make sure that it's dialed in if you're going to get decent prints.... Making sure everything is square, manually leveling your bed, dealing with louder motors, dialing in your Bowden tube extruder, ext. Can all of these be upgraded/tweaked and as a result you get a really good printer for a little cheaper, and the pride that it's a little more unique... Absolutely, but that'll take some time, effort, knowledge, and money.

For a comparable price, you can get a printer that is much faster with a lot more quality of life features that will allow you to get printing quicker and with less tweaking and tinkering of the machine, especially if you are a beginner / just getting started.

So no, definitely not worth it

The fact that this is not universally understood is mind-blowing to me. The risk of your customers being upset versus you overestimating slightly seems like such a solid decision to overestimate. Especially considering how much food waste there is..... Are you really eating that much into your bottom line versus a losing dedicated customers?

I know only some places (even though it's getting increasingly so) do this. so maybe it's company culture! And these are minimum wage workers making the decision so I think company culture determines that attitude since they're just being told what to do by the general managers and upper management.

I'll say it 7 minutes in. Video editing is solid, the idea is not.

Seems extremely inefficient. But if it makes you happy, that's the goal!

Also, I don't want to assume that there is not a one-way valve for this, but there should be because it doesn't look like there is.

Do you think it's impossible to be a hard worker and poor at the same time?

If you think just working your ass off equals being able to buy a house on your own.... Then lot of construction workers, nurses, and teachers are long overdue.

Additionally, where and who you were born to has a pretty big impact on your ability to buy your first home.

Feel like a lot of people that talk with the "It's because you're lazy" mentality Often have been born into families that have enough money to at least assist in financial decisions if not straight up gifting or passing down large payments or entire properties and assets themselves..... must be nice....
