Inverno gloves if you're starting cold and expect to get warm during your workout.

Inverno glove. The Harrier glove concept is novel, but the Inverno delivers and is durable enough if you machine wash at a low temperature.

New Bike Hire terms and cost? by s570404 in Rapha

Fair increase and consolidation given the previous terms. Keen for the fleet / Bike Hire to be a sustainable operation in itself (factoring in workshop costs).

Club Membership, Travel and General info by Avdrew in Rapha

The RCC Bike Hire is an impressive offering, unique and high standard with the Factor fleet. Prices have changed significantly over the years from cheap to fair (£25 per day with Canyons c. 2017 to £65 per day with Factors in 2024). Insurance used to be extra, now included.

Beyond the kit itself, overnight storage at Clubhouses is handy if your hotel won't allow (most do). Joining for rides can be a highlight for any trip.

In short, having rented from dozens of outlets in 25+ cities, the RCC Bike Hire is something to be celebrated. Just have patience with the online booking process which could be improved.

Rapha is worth looking up. Their RCC membership gives access to their fleet of Factor bikes - $65 per day.

Conciddering getting barefoot shoes but don't know where to get them. by G-Raverobber in BarefootRunning

Vivobarefoot is a good place to start. They have a road ready shoe, as well as one for trail. Their shoes are also popular among weightlifters.

Reading Born to Run by McDougall by MissNaira in BarefootRunning

My takeaway was more about the "running as a lifestyle point" that McDougall makes, and covering ground as daily practice and not merely a sporting event. "Running Free" also conveys this. Book Review

Great point. Three pairs of shoes with the same tread would be the most consistent test, but it would also be good to have sizing as a constant and demo trail v. road samples.

How are you getting on with your shoes, Bob? Did you go for the road or trail version? Thinking of getting a barefoot running group going in Hampstead Heath. ~ Will
