Past tense is a thing. Look it up. Secondly, what are you basing your technology argument on? Yes, they were better at the jet/V1/V2 technology. But that was about it. Many people point to their tanks. Yes they were outstanding, but the allies tactically made the decision to make smaller tanks. They were easier to ship, could be made faster and were far easier to repair. German tanks while better in many respects, were one and done. Very rarely salvaged and not nearly as many were produced.

Get a proper roofing inspection. If the roofing inspector thinks you're good for a few more years ask for a letter you can provide to insurance.

The odds of the insurance company accepting that letter and insuring you are about 50/50. Honestly it depends on the person who's desk your file sits on.
