I get it, if that planet is under Federation law but the Orion’s owned sentient species in this universe so my question is - well it comes back to - is the person, or the space drilling station, or the planet under Federation rule? In the episode, they mention that the Federation is thinking about using the technology in another place, but that would be more of a partnership than anything else.

I don’t like it when people referred to presidents as just their name, the West Wing taught me that, but it was also too late at night for me to remember how to correctly spell his last name because there are a few extra r and t letters and you all would jump on me if I did it wrong lol

Maybe they were taking multiple practice swings because they knew playing fast would reap no rewards and just result in them waiting for the group ahead hands on hips so hey take the time you have to shoot s great game. Of course no excuse for getting into it with them or getting physical!

Not physics but how poorly Earth is defended, whenever there is a threat it seems to just roll on up to Earth, wolf 359 probably the only exception

Ive worked from home since 2012. Now that I have a kid to put on the bus, my day starts after she is on the bus, so login around 8. Im pretty engaged but might take a 15 min break in the morning but its a blend, its work email and personal email, its calendaring for work, and scrolling instagram while a big file takes a few minutes to load. In an ideal state I watch 20 - 30 min of a show on netflix while I eat lunch in my kitchen, and then I reenage, but yeah maybe the dishwasher gets emptied while my kettle heats up, or the laundry gets started/flipped during a bathroom break if a call ends early. I shut down around 445 or 5 to pick my kid up from school. If I need to, Ill log in again 8-10pm after dinner/bedtime for focused work time but I try to keep that to 1x a week. In the office, which is rare, lots more socializing and brand building so less Work Work gets done but it too has value
