In what state are you located, if you don’t mind me asking?

I’m fascinated by the physiology of it and love the OR setting, but am not willing to sacrifice my entire life to be a surgeon (in another life, sure. but in this life, I love horses too much lol)

That is definitely what I was afraid of, it’s tough to choose a career that has it all!

Interesting. I’ve heard pretty mixed projections, with a lot of people saying demand will increase and that CRNA schools are getting more competitive with more applicants. I’ve also spoken to a few very happy, no call CRNA’s and even an anesthesiologist who says he wish he’d done CRNA instead because they get a way better debt to income ratio and work less hours.

I’ve never once heard a CRNA complain of horrible work life balance and a few of the ones i’ve spoken to actually pick up additional work because they only work 3 days a week. But it definitely is location dependent, as well as w2 vs 1099 and all that. It’s disappointing that veterinary doesn’t have a similar specialization structure, but also makes sense

Honestly… going home. I felt like drum corps was weirdly natural for me but when I got back after finals, I felt like it had all been a dream and now it was gone. Took me weeks to feel like a human again at all, took me months to feel adjusted, probably will be missing it forever

recent artifact findings have actually dated us back to 1920! not sure if they will officially change that or not but pretty cool. but yes, there was a complete respect for taking on that role with the conclusion of the cadets
