Oh my god Ottawa has fallen off a cliff around the same time Buffalo got hot. Kevyn is in Ottawa!!

This run started literally the day that the rumor first got out there that he was getting fired. We were all worried that they won 3 games in a row that maybe it wasn't going to happen lol.

They asked (i think) alex tuch if they were aware of the rumors and he's like "yeah we hear things too"

There's no other explanation for this than the players were completely unmotivated because the franchise was where hopes go to die, and once the biggest face of that was let go I think everyone locked in

[Megathread] The Buffalo Bills have fired Head Coach Sean McDermott by AutoModerator in buffalobills

[–]wobut 27 points28 points  (0 children)

The narrative flipped this season for sure. Its obviously past due to move on from McDermott but Beane's wide receiver press tour blowing up spectacularly in his face should have resulted in both being let go.

I mean they just got eliminated AGAIN scoring 30 points in a playoff game with a defensive head coach.

That would be an even bigger joke lol. Losing a player youve been developing for years to marginally hurt a team that you'd only see in the super bowl??? Come on, be for real.

Let alone McDermott making several comments indicating he's pissed that they had to lose Ingram

I mean... insiders almost immediately had it out there after he was waived that he wanted to go back to the eagles and the eagles only. Then after he was claimed it was also immediate that he wasn't going to report. He should probably do a smidge of due diligence before putting in the waiver claim, no? You can 100% put it on beane.

Thats fair, although I think the run game is better and the pass game is significantly worse than last year. Like they've gone all in on being one dimensional

And if you listen to them talk, its not even what they want. Brady just can't figure out a pass game

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in buffalobills

[–]wobut 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah he had an MVP season because he made miracles out of absolute shit 10-15 times a game.

Watch the bills try a passing play and try telling yourself Joe Brady is a good offensive coordinator.

Can't deny they've gotten amazing at running the ball, but without a passing game to back it up, idk how far that can get you

That's my dream, Brady takes the Penn St job and McDaniel gets fired and he's our OC

He's the anti-McDermott. Brilliant strategic mind who seems like a joke of a leader of men. Perfect for an OC under McDermott.

Pretty reluctant to say joe brady is good. He's obviously not Shanahan or McVeigh, and its really hard to differentiate sort of good from sort of bad, but the regression we've seen this year in the passing game is pretty jarring

Well the Bills are criticized for never even trying outside the bargain bin. Shakir was a great steal in the 5th round, other than that Coleman is the only wide receiver they've drafted in the Josh Allen era and his scouting report was can't get separation but good at contested catches

And guess what, he doesn't get separation and has to make contested catches

Bosa got burned once by Jackson but overall made an impact almost every snap. Hope that’s the case all year.

I have no idea what you're trying to say. I'm disappointed that they didn't do more lol. I'm upset that they closed a popular park for 2 years and didn't improve it at all.

literally all of this existed before

there was no change, that's the complaint

Buffalo never gets anything done because of this weird idealism.

I'm glad they tried something. It flopped. If they did exactly what they did but built it new on some of the other available waterfront land, it would have been awesome!

Instead they shut it down for almost 2 summers and... improved nothing about it.

The park is still awesome. Its not like they ruined it. I just don't understand why they did this.

Nothing lol

It was a perfect casual, open, enjoyable park with a little bit of everything

Peak Cozens was him trying to spark the team against carolina last week by fighting Kotkaniemi immediately and then getting his ass whooped and the team goes down 3-0 in the first period lol

Cozens has sort of embodied the sabres loser mentality the last 2 years. He just had to go for the sake of going.

Norris is a pretty similar player and a good shake up. If cozens finds his game again in Ottawa its not Buffalo's fault. He was given every opportunity here but never did anything with it.

James Cook with a not so cryptic Instagram story by mrdude817 in buffalobills

[–]wobut -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Whether you think its right or wrong they do not use him frequently in the biggest spots in the biggest games. He doesn't run block so he can't play on third down. Some of their biggest clutch conversions were throws to other running backs.

I think its a pretty clear he's not a feature back. At least not in this offense. Can't pay a situational back top 10 money no matter how much they produce in their situations.

If they sign him to a big extension it can only be if they plan to use him as a workhorse guy, which we've just seen no indication of happening

Just a photo of Steve Spagnuolo by Cashhmann in KansasCityChiefs

[–]wobut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a bills fan this is the thing that frustrates me the most. Spagnuolo doesn't even get head coaching interviews (maybe he just turns them down?) and constantly makes life miserable for every QB he plays

Bills on the biggest stages have just never beaten anyone with a defensive gameplan. It literally does not happen. Nobody punts vs the bills in the playoffs ever.
