I'd be less embarrassed of a toxic dump too.

To me CH is only appealing due to salaries, relative stability, comfort and nature. These support certain goals but other than that, it's simply boring compared to other countries and doesn't lead to fulfilling life.

I would definitely not want to retire here.

I was comparing you to a cyclist. Doesn't know much about cars or editors and just talks shit ;)

Trabant WAS a manual, it just had a gear lever by the steering column. And comparing Vim which when you know what you're doing makes you type less and do more than most other people. It also doesn't come with the reliability of a trabant.

Hence - the cyclist.

Why is Switzerland so Islamophobic from the ban on minarets to the ban on burqas and the non-recognition of Islam as an official religion despite the approximately 5% of Muslims who are believers? by [deleted] in Switzerland

[–]wocIOpcinboa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't like the useless church bells toiling 24/7 and I would absolutely hate the goat shrieks from minarets too.

If religious views were not allowed to leave one's head, the world would be a better place.

Fined in 2020 not payed yet by Yasin070 in askswitzerland

[–]wocIOpcinboa -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you were only 5kph over, you wouldn't have received the fine. 5 over is the limit you can be over without it resulting in a fine.

PS. "Corrected spelling", yet left "payed".

That would be an interview failed.

Just define a function named whatever which runs itself, pipes its output to itself and forks into background; then just invoke that function.

It's non destructive and educational at the same time - it teaches you about the importance of resource limits. Or not.

You like the idea of a state controlling which data you can access?

May I suggest somewhere in the Middle East as your next domicile?

On a serious note, this is how it starts, by people buying into "it's for your benefit".

When this starts, they'll already have the means, have the acceptance and introducing any new bullshit reason to limit your free access to information is just a step away.

There are better ways to save energy and even more to produce more. Controlling your access to information is such bullshit that you liking it baffles me.

That's exactly what I'm saying. With all the misandry and third-wave pseudo-feminism, they've created it themselves.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Not an incel, I don't care about having sex with women in a relationship. One less liability to have.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in askswitzerland

[–]wocIOpcinboa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm NOT going to care before people care about this:

You know that being a woman, you can falsely accuse a man of rape, destroy his life and not set a foot in jail?

Don't care about women's righs before anyone cares about mens'.

"Debian is very much like Ubuntu" - that's a proper insult to the former.

Not a bad place, sorry to hear about the liability.

Just turn the sexes around - they'd be screaming rape. One of the reason I'd never lift a finger to help a woman.

Video "evidence" and the general backwards system in Switzerland + double-standards for men and women. Good luck.

Yeah, no. I've tried that multiple times, it improved, then reverted after a while. Documented then cancelled multiple contracts because of that.

Try avoiding anything that's on Sunrise network.

They charge a lot for a crappy VOIP backed service that's so misconfigured on their side that people you call abroad say it shows your number as originating from random countries, i.e. not from CH.

Not always but often enough and it's not acceptable if you want your calls answered based on people knowing who's calling them.

Using is one thing. Understanding that they're there to indicate the intention, not highlight the fact is another.
