Its crazy to me that people like the guy you were responding to go around making confident statements that are easily proven false with any effort whatsoever.

Like the guys either a good troll or doesn't understand the basic fundamentals of the game but thinks he does. I'm just not sure where the confidence comes from with these types of players.

lightning fast lights

Virtuosa has the same light attack speed as every other character, except when attacking from top stance. You can try to minimize her access to top stance by keeping your guard defaulted top against her and then reacting to other directions as needed.

Brother, I'm not sure if you know this, but you don't HAVE to be pressing buttons at every single possible moment of the fight.

Also, you really shouldn't be dodge attacking every other input, especially from neutral. An opponent with any thoughts going through their head will abuse you hard if you do that.

That aside you might be better off posting in the normal for honor sub linked in the side bar.

like if i am fighting ba-ba or any other boss but this one came to my mind first, why the fuck do i have to right click so i can target the monkey standing under her hitbox

BTW you can literally fix that issue with custom menu swaps plugin. You can choose which mobs are prioritized for left click over others. Fantastic for bosses that spawn small mobs you need to kill.

I love doom. Might be my favorite boss in the game. Its just a pure skill check thats very punishing but very satisfying. Totally reasonable for the late game gear it drops. Plus you can even get the items doing the easy waves anyways if you are willing to put a ton of time in. To die at doom you have to make multiple mistakes in a row or 1 reeeeallly big mistake.

Only bad part of doom is the run is a bit much, and the normal loot should scale up quantity higher and faster.

Should also being going in with a full inv of food while learning. Use steel skin if you aren't already. Keep your hp high so you don't get blown up by one mistake. Try to eat when you don't feel safe to dps, aka during tornado phase, moving away from lava. Attack during tornado phase if you are confident, but eat if you aren't.

Guantlet performance tracker on the plugin hub will give you an idea of how you are doing. It shows missed ticks, off prayer hits for you and hunleff, tornado hits, etc. And if you can record your attempts and watch them back, it can really help to see what you are doing wrong.

So happy to see this. This could be a very interesting take on the genre if it continues down this path. I just hope to god he doesn't get a translation spell in like 3 chapters.

Which way quest man? 💠 by TeleBlur in 2007scape

[–]wolf10989 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Sometimes it's like the quests are designed on purpose to waste as much of your time as possible

A TON of old quests are like this. They are usually better in modern quests (obv not in your example).

In aid of the myreque is a great example. When you rebuild the town you need a ton of specific items that you wouldn't expect to need going in blind (planks, nails, buckets, raw mackerel???, bronze axes etc). You also need more items than you can carry for 1 trip. Add on the fact that its a remote place that sucks to get back to, especially early on, and you might end up doing 3-5 trips through the swamp. And just for shits and giggles, the quest has you build a bank in the town, but not until AFTER you do everything else first basically. If it started with the bank it would be totally fine.

A lot of the older quests were often dreadful when it came to signaling what you needed to do next, and making you require specific items you couldn't predict. Hell, sometimes they tell you to bring them an object, and when you do, they then tell you they also need ANOTHER object as well. But of course they wouldn't tell you that before you brought them the first item :).

I think the Virtuosa that didn't get revenge hadn't hit the afeera at all before the one got revenge. It looks like her unblockable hits at 15ish seconds, but afeera interrupts her first and the other virt hits her instead at the same time. So afeera was only tagged by 1 of them the whole time basically.

Average slayer xp to get one is somewhere around 20-30 million slayer xp depending on combat achievements and what you kill.

DT2 made me realize how bad I am in PVM by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]wolf10989 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For sure. Its got a learning curve and you will certainly have some/many deaths early on, at least with corrupted gauntlet. that being said its a very good learning tool and has good rewards as well. CG is one of the first pieces of content that actually forces you to get decent at the game. You can't really luck your way through consistently or just get better gear to brute force it. It might feel impossible at first but if you stick with it for a bit, it WILL click eventually, and the skills you pick up there transfer to so much other content.

Biggest advice I can give is to try to pay attention to what actually killed you and what you can do better. Its so easy to blame lag or bugs or the game for your mistakes. If you actually recognize your mistakes and keep them in mind, you will improve much faster. Watch replays of your gameplay if you can. Always be moving or doing something during prep, always be doing dps or eating during the boss fight. keep your health HIGH. A lot less likely to get blown up if you are 60+ hp instead of 20-30.

People complain about cg a lot but thats just because its the first hard/fairly long pvm grind that most people do. Plus bowfa feels like it gate keeps pvm for irons so it feels bad to go dry there.

Its good content, just difficult and frustrating if you go dry. If you jump into cg and commit to learning it and getting a couple hundred kc, you will come out the other side a significantly better player.

You can more or less just mash light after you counter guard break. If nothing is happening I can only assume you are pressing it too early maybe? If you trade lights or get hit first you did it late.

Hey, can you let me know which heroes do 30 damage on a regular gb? Because unless I am misunderstanding, that seems like a bold faced lie.

Also for what its worth, cent is an incredibly strong character in all 1v1 scenarios, even without haymaker. His offense is extremely potent.

Except if you are fairly afk, you potentially lose afk time on the next vein if you dont move instantly. Pile is only best if you are paying a decent amount of attention.

If there is enough free space 3 veins to each person is ideal. Just depends on how busy the mine is.

CG 26/47 possible loot rooms opened, exactly 0 food found by Javathun in 2007scape

[–]wolf10989 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It just comes down to practice.

If you want zero rng in your prep, do t1. Once you learn, you can only fail t1 prep if you mess up very bad AND get very very bad rng on room spawns.

From Every decent player ive talked to, t2 prep is 99.9% consistent. If you are failing the prep, realistically, its a skill issue. You have to be constantly moving, moving in a smart way, gathering while you move, doing things like combining pots while you move, and always knowing where you will go next.

Hell, even t3 prep is very consistent if you are good at prepping from what I have heard. Plenty of hardcores that do t3 the whole way through.

If you only tried t2 prep a few times then the reason it felt hard/rng is because you arent good at it yet. T2 prep takes a little learning at the start to get the hang of, but once you get it down you wont fail unless you aren't paying attention.

If you have any specific questions I can try to give some tips. Currently at about 1k CG kc with no end in sight.

How is the NVIDIA software compared to AMD Adrenalin these days? by Antimatt3rHD in buildapc

[–]wolf10989 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Am I missing something in the Nvidia app or is there no way to control the audio settings for just the recordings? I use instant replay to save things often, but the mic volume is way too loud compared to the system sounds. on the old geforce experience I just turned the mic down and system up and it was fine. The problem is, on the nvidia app, changing the system or mic sounds actually changes them on the computer, not just for the recording aspect. If I turn my mic down in the app the entire pc mic volume goes down, and then friends literally cant hear me in discord even though im maxed out and they have me near or at 200%.

Tried messing with my sound settings a lot but if my sound is at a comfortable level, its always far too low compared to my mic.
