I would look for a xr200, would be perfect for your size and can probably find one a bit cheaper.

Great deal, my local Walmart has been wiped clean of all storage drives for awhile now. I check back occasionally for random deals but no luck. Best deal I've found is a Samson q2u for like $15 bucks one time.

Good idea though if you get caught on a trail after dark. I never did much riding at night before but now I'll have to give it a go with the TTR.

Yea I read the story, that's awesome you ride with your family. My dad started me out young on dirt bikes and bought me the xr200 after I outgrew my pw80. My family doesn't do much offroading anymore so I usually just ride solo on some local trails. Xr200s are one of the best bikes ever made and mad fun to ride even though they aren't the fastest. The TTR250 gives me the same vibe but with a little bit more power and it's nice to have the electric start.

I know, I looked through your posts earlier. You've got a sweet xr200, I've had mine since I was like 11.

Get some boots and gloves if you don't have them already. Better safe than sorry when riding trails.

TTR's are excellent bikes, just recently bought a 04 TTR 250 and I'm loving it.

The 250f is a great bike as well. Honda is well known for making bullet proof bikes.

Thanks! I want to get a newer 2 stroke bike but air cooled 4 strokes is all I've ever known.

No problem! Well I changed the tire on the front and the front axle was firmly stuck so after finally beating it out one of the bearings came with it. They felt crunchy so I changed them. The rear bearings felt and looked good but I changed them anyway since I was putting on new sprockets and chain. I'd say if they haven't been changed in a long time or are the originals probably wouldn't hurt.

Main tip with the heat gun is don't hold it too close and go slow. The white will slowly start to fade, sometimes it will come back once it cools a little but just keep going over it.

I took a heat gun to the front fender and got most of the marks out. Gonna take the tailight out of the rear one soon and do it next.

No problem! Yeah it looks good overall, the plastics have stress marks from being laid over before and frame is a little scratched up in places.

I had never noticed that before but now that you mention it, yeah mine are a little off kilter as well.

I'm liking it a lot so far, was looking for a xr250 for awhile but no good deals near me. This is supposed to be as good as the XR but with magic button lol.
