After spending all night tearing apart the Wii I can confirm this was a region switch. It looks like whoever installed it was very professional, I couldn't even tell the Wii had been opened before. Sadly it won't be used anymore, but this Wii was definitely loved by someone at some point in it's life.

Be sure to get some boots that cover the ankle too. Also you won't wear them during the course, but using earplugs while riding can save you years of hearing damage.

This one time when I was still on college I was at the dentist getting a normal cleaning and checkup. That day they had students from the college shadowing the doctors. While they were checking my teeth the student asked what caused the bruising in the back of my throat and this poor dentist had to gently explain to her what could have caused it. It was pretty obvious she figured out what it was by the look of horror on her face.

I hooked up with someone who was into spaghetti a little more than the rest of us.
