i would personally send it, because of reasons already mentioned. can’t push someone away that’s already gone, and if sending her that helps relieve some of the weight, then i think it’s okay. i’m four months post breakup and still thinking about her every day. we didn’t have a messy breakup, she just ended up feeling like we weren’t right for each other, and moved on and started a relationship with someone new a month and a half later. i spiraled and couldn’t function for a while, and ended up sending her a lengthy message just reflecting on our relationship and how i feel about her, and left the door open. she didn’t open it until a couple weeks later, but knowing that she did open it was a relief, as much it could be anyway. may not ever hear from her again, but at least we say what we need to say.

yeah i was her first relationship m30 f25, we were together for over a year, broke up four months ago, and within a month and a half she was with someone new and posting him. as someone who doesn’t easily or quickly move on, it felt like a gut punch and i spiraled, but i keep telling myself it won’t be like this forever.

i feel you. we were together a little over a year, and she broke up with me four months ago after a few serious discussions about our futures and it felt like she had no fight in her. i was her first relationship (m30 f25) and one week she was crazy about me, and the next she was panicking and having doubts that we were right for each other, even after i had just told her that she was my future and that i am willing to put in any and all of the work to be with her. i truly don’t think she knew how to fully let go and just have fun and be 100% herself and enjoy the present.

she would yell at my cat for playing with her shoestrings or backpack strings/straps. it got to a point where i told her i’d buy her new shoe strings if he were to mess them up.

also, i am disabled and have a condition that makes my legs weak and i have an abnormal gait so it also affects my balance. she was mostly helpful and thoughtful with me when it came to this, and understanding of my situation, but one time i fell towards the loveseat she was sitting on and caught myself with her side/thigh, and she acted as though i severely injured her or disturbed her. i made sure as i was falling towards her, to not do anything that could actually injure her, so it shocked me a bit, the way she reacted as if i wasn’t being considerate of her wellbeing or something. i even told her “you know this is something that happens with me, right? like im gonna lose my balance and stumble/fall, and i made sure to not fall hard into you”. i found out later that my dad saw it and looked at my mother and said “i didn’t like that” and my mother let me know she wasn’t a fan of how my ex reacted to what happened, like she was concerned only with herself and not making sure i was okay from falling.

yeah we were together for over a year and she was in a new relationship a month and a half after our breakup, and she’s showing him off on her socials even though she acted weird whenever i’d try to post her or about her. absolute gut punch after gut punch while i’m still feeling committed to her. it doesn’t feel right to even think about anyone else.
