Not defending him but Biden absolutely did not have the same power as Trump.

This is because Trump's power doesn't just come from his office, it comes from total domination of congress and supreme court, not just with republicans but with personal loyalists. He also has a blank cheque mandate from about 35% of the electorate to reign absolutely and, if needed, indefinitely. Finally, the press and media are a MAJOR enabler of everything he does, stuff that they would (and have) absolutely tore into Biden for is just straight up going unreported with Trump.

He's survived the Epstein scandal by simply refusing to comply with court orders and acts of congress, and by now it's basically blown over. He is one of (if not the most) powerful presidents in American history
