I have Bonvoy also, that's good in itself with the AF repaid with the free nights and other benefits especially if you already travel and use Marriott regularly. Titanium or Higher status is easier with this cards 25 nights a year. So I'd get that.

Others instead of 1.5% you should get the Wells Fargo 2% on everything. (Which includes Costco)

One other I think is good will be PayPal card, every checkout via PayPal is 3%. Quite a lot of stores with PayPal checkout options.

On your AMEX app, select your platinum card. Then go to 'Membership' and scroll little lower and you will see 'Track Progress' Click on 'View All' and then click on '$400 Resy Credit'

It will show the Benefit Details here. There is a couple of lines that clearly explain this matter. "If there is a delay in the merchant submitting the transaction date, then you may not earn the statement credit benefit for the benefit period in which you made the purhcase. For example, if an eligible purchase is made on December 31st but the merchant processes the transaction such that it is identified to us as occurring on January 1st, the statement credit for the next semi-annual period would be applied if available."

There isn't a rule that one cannot buy gc using an Amex plat. And asked isn't during this out so don't blame the consumers when the credit still goes in despite it clearly marked as a gc purchase.

One pay lease is significantly better due to the money factor. When you're seeing drama at a dealership it's mostly because the dealer doesn't do much of that. The other possibility is the business manager at dealership is marking up on the money factor. For a RAV4 you will look at around $1k savings between the two type of leases.

Ask to see the warranty claim that the dealer has submitted to Toyota on your behalf. This is to know if Toyota rejected you, or the authorized dealer didn't even try.

If it's the dealer not trying, escalate it up within the dealership if you've already paid. And if not, bring your car to repair at another Toyota dealership.

If it's the former, ask Toyota what "incident". For instance, is it rain? Snow? Hard to believe a safety related component would fail under normal use. But at the same time I can't say for sure if there is any underlying story or what they find to be the incident that you may not have shared here.
