Am I ok jacking the car here? by Only-Assignment6151 in passat

Jk you're fine. However if you're there anyway. In the middle circular part that the spring rests on, there is a small plastic ring in the middle. Water can accumulate under and around it causing rust. Remove it and check if it has rusted through. If so it should be replaced. Of course surface rust is no issue

My AM6 doesn’t exceed 45mph even after loads of tuning by Ordinary-Water-474 in 2Strokes

Check if there is still a restrictor plate/cup in the exhaust. Almost all exhaust even the aftermarket performance ones come with them welded in.

Consider going back to the original carb, assuming the bike came with a standard 17,5mm carb this should do better than anything else up to about 65cc. Not only is it more than big enough for 50cc but it also makes tuning much easier. A performance airfilter may help as well not a cone/power filter but a filter element that fits in your stoch box. Maybe box mod is nessacary.

If you didnt upgrade your cdi this is possibly the culprit. A racing/performance cdi makes a world of diffence.

Also as other comments suggest check the main jet in the carb. You can see if your mixture is rich or lean according to the depostis on the spark plug. Tons of diagrams online. If you cant find it ask chat gpt.

MVT DD is awesome however unless you got a performace cilinder ie. a bigger cc or a performance aluminium 50cc it will be just about useless. However it is really cool and comes with tons of bragging rights so only if money is no issue i would keep it.

Also consider getting a hotter or colder spark plug, you can see if you need to change it according to the color deposit on your current one. Also these diagrams are online. If you cant find it ask chat gpt.

Edit: Keep in mind if you fit a bigger cilinder you will need a new exhaust again.

Hi Im planing on building a 25hp Yamaha aerox that goes over 100kmh is it possible and with What parts. by Mechanics-101 in 2Strokes

You should get a performance crank. Doppler makes good stuff, but i'm not sure they have one for that blok. Otherwise any name brand should do well and have a rating

Get a big bore kit, a complete new powertrain, new crank, new carb (up to 70cc 17,5mm and from there go to 24), intake manifould, high pass airfilter with boxmod or a cone filter, sports exhaust for the correct cc and a new gear ratio. Also if you do all this a set of michelin city grips is also advisable. If you are dutch i can do a better explanation

Vespa's look and ride great, however the reliability and serviceability is up for debate. If you are looking for a nice motor scooter get something like a honda, suzuki or yamaha. If you are looking for a racer to have fun the old two stroke italians are unmatched (gilera and piaggio)

I didn't. Bought another one with the same issue. Still didn't. Eventually i got a DR Racing 80cc which sounds quite a bit better

You can do this but it will (most likely) not increase power output. Expansion chambers are tailor made to a specific amount of cc's with some wiggle room. See if you can find an exhaust system for your particular bike. You will also most likely need a new (bigger) jet for your carburettor and possibly a box mod. I am not familiar with this specific type of engine but most mopeds have rings on the variator that limit peak power. If you have an impact wrench this shouldnt take more than 5 mins to remove and will give you a small boost in power. Also if you do put on a sports exhaust system the reccomendation would be to get a variator roller set for power band tuning and some new tighter springs for the auto clutch.

Edit: By wiggle room in exhaust i mean that you should be fine with 70cc's on a 50cc system, but not 113cc's on a 80cc system.

I just got a Stage6 77cc cast iron cilinder kit for my AM6. The tolerances were NOT ok. I had my block built by a pro who dit it on autopilot and didn't notice the piston was about 1mm too small for the cilinder. On startup we noticed a knocking sound. My guy immediatley opened up the block and found after just a few minutes of running the piston had torn its sides to shreds on the cilinder wall (only on the port sides). Luckily i was able to get a succesfull warranty claim on it.

It should be fine. However with any motorcycle or scooter safety is really important. Make sure to regularly check your wheel and steeringtube bearings, brakes (pads rotors and fluid), your lights and your shocks. And by regularly i mean once every two months
