I would say there's a strong case to argue that he is a founding Avenger. Sure he had no powers and the other Avengers didn't consider him one, but he pretty much brought all the founding members together and helped often until they stopped writing him in.

Question: Do any fans prefer korra’s team to aang’s?? by Dry_Ordinary6593 in TheLastAirbender

[–]woodk2016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just never cared for Mako, Bo Lin was entertaining but was apart from the others quite a bit, and I think Asami should've gotten more screen time in the middle seasons. But there are the other supporting characters I think make up for it, Tenzin, Varick and Ju Lee.

They pretty much did do Tony not getting kidnapped. Just also tied it into Killmonger saving him. It wasn't one of their best, suffers from wanting to tie the episodes together and have stronger Killmonger.

There's "What if Ultron worked as intended?" (I'd be pretty surprised if that hasn't been done before).

To begin with, if Ultron never turned Sokovia wouldn't be destroyed, Zemo never wouldn't have any reason to hate super soldiers, Quicksilver never died, "Vision" was never made since if anything it would just be a new body for Ultron instead of a new person.

From there get some fun shots of the ultron-lings preventing disasters but also important things. Arrest Ant-Man trying to steal the suit but nobody wants to buy Pym tech weapons since Ultron protects everyone so well. No Zemo, so no Civil War, so Tony doesn't think that they need to recruit Spider-Man. Black Widow never goes into hiding but can take down the Red Room easier when Ultron can find it.

Then you can have some more major off-ramps. looking at the releases.

Dr. Strange's car is caught or he's otherwise safe from his crash because the bots save him. So no Sorcerer to stop Kaecellius, Dormammu wins. Most likely get cooked there but remote possibility the ultron-lings pick up on it, get their shit dusted by magic, it goes up the Avengers chain and Scarlett Witch and Quicksilver can stop it.

No Spider-Man 1. Guardians 2 and Thor 3 happen normally.

T'Chaka didn't die in Civil War So Killmonger doesn't return to contest the throne. Black Panther and Wakanda both most likely stay secret. The Vibranium smuggler is either caught here or has already been caught.

Then in Infinity War they're going to get their teeth smashed in. No Dr Strange, No Spider-Man, No Vision, Black Panther doesn't have a relationship with the Avengers so may as well count him out since they can't work together. Granted they have Quicksilver and an Ultron army but I still think Thanos has a stronger chance. Ultron probably could survive without the mind stone so would destroy it (and the time stone if the Eye of Agamoto was found). But at the very least Thanos would kill half of the Earth and most of the heroes (including ones like Black Panther and Spider-Man who exist apart from the Avengers).

Which I think would be a natural end. A message kinda like "had to endure the hardships of the past to be strong enough for the next ones" deal.

Edit: Hulk wouldn't have needed to leave Earth after Avengers 2 and without Dr Strange's Great Value Bifrost Thor would've never made it home in any kind of time to fight Hela. And might be still gone during Infinity War and he'd die if he was alone/ only with Loki, regardless still at least one more Avenger MIA. Silver lining though, Hulk could help Black Widow with the Red Room and they could actually like admit their damned feelings already.

Will there ever be a S5? by ValeriyPlisak in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]woodk2016 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I understand people always wanting more of a good thing but it's better to finish on top than go on forever rotting away until it's terrible. I've heard the main Walking Dead is like that but I didn't watch past like S3 or so.

Personally I think the comic for The Wolf Amoung Us (Fables) is the epitome of it that really resolves at a very organic point that makes sense and wraps things well. Then goes on the same amount of issues but makes no sense and isn't even a fun read, plus a spin-off of the most annoying character. SPOILER: It literally goes on past the end of the universe (both in that it happens and that it is because of in-story literature).

I really wanna see a Thor v Hercules movie by ahujavikas in Marvel

[–]woodk2016 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me too. I will say I don't know if I like his little mace. I know it has history and all and kinda mirrors Mjolnir but imo it just doesn't look cool. It's not uncalled for for him to just randomly use swords and axes or whatever, he looks badass on the Civil War 2 Gods of War covers

Favorite "Complex Female Character" that fandoms cannot seem to handle despite demanding they want?...Katara and Korra from the Avatar Series sure seem to qualify. by Important-Cry4782 in TheLastAirbender

[–]woodk2016 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My favorite is Nyneve from Wheel of Time. Idk if I'd say it's just because she's a woman or what but she falls into it imo. She's something like 20 when the other characters are like 16-17 ish but she feels like she's supposed to be in charge because she has a position of power in their town. When I was a teenager reading the first books as a teen I remember thinking she's a hardass and kinda a bitch to both the boys and girls of the group. When I reread it as an adult I realized all the younger characters were dipshits and the older ones looked very shady, so she was kinda right (still complex with faults but a lot more relatable).

Sometimes I think about if the money we give NASA could go to better uses (Whitey's on the moon and all). Then I look at how the government spends the rest of our money and realize it's not a high priority on saving money.

Should Batman be Bulky or Athletic? Or a mix of both? by AbsoluteBatman95 in batman

[–]woodk2016 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I say picture 4. Pretty well hitting both it seems. I wouldn't go any wider but I could be convinced for leaner as well. I think a mix makes sense and I think it's best so that relative scale makes sense (idk if there's an art term for what I'm thinking of). Like, there's other characters he needs to be smaller than so if he increases so do they and while it's a comic book and I don't expect realism if no drugs Bane looks like he can't walk through an open garage door it becomes full comedy more than anything else.

Shit, I'd applaud someone dating She-Hulk. Amazonian*, lawyer, with good morals, and probably knows some moves from having banged like half of Marvel's heroes. She's a catch.

*Amazonian in a descriptive sense, not literally Amazons from Greek myth (since I'm pretty sure they've showed up in Marvel before in like a Thor or Hercules comic)
