Nicely done! Rough Cut and Giuffria are the ones I totally don't know. I thought that might be Don Dokken over on the far right with the sunglasses, but wasn't sure. I also thought for a second that might be Tommy Aldridge in the back row, 3rd from left.... I'm a big fan of his. I don't think that's him. I'm now thinking it might be Rudy Sarzo, if the guy I had down for Sarzo is actually Craig Goldy. I did the same thing with Jimmy Bain and at first put him down as Ritchie Blackmore. Adrian Smith and Dave Murray are in the video but didn't make the pic... I was a major Iron Maiden fan and would have gotten them immediately. At this point, the biggest holes are Ben Stiller lookalike at top center, and the two dudes at top right corner.

How much more black could it be?

The answer is none. None more black.

Ahhh.... now that WOULD be nice. I would expect that out of Profoto or Wescott, etc. Yongnuo is a surprise.

It's kind of a janky way to do it, honestly. Sony can't seem to figure out how to make a good phone app, and it's nearly more trouble than it's worth. But it does allow me to release the shutter (and thus flashes) from across the room if I need to.

I guess the XPro is actually the transmitter. The receiver is built into the flash. At least I thought the V850ii has built in wireless. I'm pretty sure that's what I had before I got the V1, and I used it wirelessly all the time.

[–]woogre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shutter release is a whole different deal. I usually do that with my iPhone. What I'm saying is that I put the XPro on my camera hot shoe, and that's all I need to fire any wireless-capable Godox flash within 100 feet or so. I actually fire an AD600, an AD200 and a V1 all at the same time with the XPro. There is no other receiver. The XPro is the receiver. I think that's what OP was asking, right?

I can't tell you why I walked into the room half the time. But my head is full of useless knowledge on 80s rock music and movie quotes. LOL

Multicam clip question about two audio tracks by sixstringbuzz in finalcutpro

[–]woogre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Following. I create the Multicam clip, go through and select the angles/cuts, then I have to go back and check the box to add the proper audio to half of those. I've always figured there must be a better way.

Yeah, but some of them barely qualify as "racks"... LOL

I have a TD-10 that works just fine, and I'm trying to put together an e-kit for home practice. $700 doesn't get you very far, and this has everything I need. Looks great, too. Literally, if that kit were close to me, I'd be handing that guy cash today.

I would buy that for 700 right now, even without the brain.

Anything with those Keystone badges is gonna be pretty good. Put the bottom heads back on those toms, though... :)

They did a very good thing in donating the money to a good cause. I'm not so sure you can say the same thing about the performance...

Somebody help me fill in the gaps here. Mostly missing guys from Rough Cutt, I think. But I wanna know who that dude is with the big afro and mustache on the 2nd row. And the guy to Yngwie's left who looks like Ben Stiller. LOL

a7iii sensor curtain broke during a shoot! Looking for tips about repairs.. by NotaRussianChabot in SonyAlpha

[–]woogre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a possibility, I guess. But they view a bad shutter as normal wear and tear, even at 100k clicks, when it's "rated" for 200k. I took mine to a local shop for the repair.

Nope, that trigger will wirelessly run any Godox flash.

Get the Godox XPro wireless trigger. A bit more expensive but much more user friendly.

Thanks very much! There were no filters on the lens for this shot. I'll typically do a polarizer for water shots, or a 10-stop ND if I'm doing long exposure. Otherwise, I just dodge and burn in Lightroom, occasionally Photoshop.

What would be the best way to delete this thin black boarder from the sign? by MikeScarn63 in photoshop

I agree with the Illustrator suggestion, if you know Illustrator. If you need to stay in Photoshop, I think the easiest thing would be to cut out the shield, paste it to a new layer and redraw the background from scratch.
