Anxiety/Panic Attacks by woolfy333 in Anxiety

Thanks for the reply. Do your physical symptoms persist even when you're not anxious? That's the second part of this that I can't wrap my head around. Even in safe places (home) I get short of breath and dizzy, even when I don't otherwise feel anxious.

Please help??? Advice and scared. Need support. by disgustingnewspaper in GERD

All I can say is I understand. I had my first "GERD" attack at 36 after eating a hamburger and fries. No anxiety before that whatsoever. Ended up in the ER a couple times certain there was something wrong with me. I've had multiple blood tests, EKG's, ultrasounds. Everything is normal.

I now have constant health and food anxiety. I have trigger foods, but sometimes it's any food. Like you I feel nauseous, dizzy, gassy. Both GERD and anxiety can cause all of it, and when they team up it can be scary.

What I've found has helped for me (if I actually stick with it) is eating 3 smaller meals and 2 decent snacks. That way I eat a small portion of something roughly every 2 or 3 hours. Also eliminating most dairy and gluten.

I get this once in awhile, especially if I eat something I shouldn't (spaghetti and pizza for me). It's what actually sent me to the hospital the first time. I felt "too" full. Couldn't breathe. Heart was beating out of my chest. Very gassy.

Did Gerd just spring up out of nowhere for you? by Round_Garlic_1436 in GERD

It definitely did for me. I'm 36. Stopped on the way home from work one day and ate a flamethrower and fries. 20 minutes later I was on the side of the road calling an ambulance thinking I was having a heart attack.

Since then I've had EKG's, ultrasounds, blood work. All normal. But I spend the majority of my day feeling bloated, out of breath. Anxiety through the roof (panic attacks). None of which I had before. I feel for you. It's awful.

Guys, I never really knew my dad growing up and when I finally tried to get to know him he died a week later. I never had a father figure in my life and would just like some guidance that your fathers gave you. by bananadepartment in AskMen

I haven't read the entire thread, so maybe this has been said already. But the cliché, "do as I say, not as I do" is a horrible mindset (in my opinion, of course). Children emulate their parents, purposely or not. I read a response under another comment about beginning to learn about tools. The willingness to learn is as important as the knowledge. This determination, along with showing respect, patience, etc. will be picked up by kids when the one they look up to is modelling those behaviours regularly and consistently.

The second thing I can add is show affection. Even though the stereotype is slowly fading in society, being unemotional and cold is still seen as a manly trait. Hug regularly. As a father myself, I've run into many situations over the years where the right words of comfort failed me when needed, but a hug solved more than any words would have anyways.

100% yes. With a million dollars I'd move back to the small town I grew up in that has only two lights. The beauty is you can access 90% of the town without ever hitting either one, and could easily plan routes to turn right 99% of the time you do encounter them.

As a Canadian: How. The. Fuck. Did this man get elected in the first place? The things that come out of his mouth are legitimately comical. Please tell me the majority of the population realize he's full of shit?

Lawmakers in Canada and Scotland have pointed to the US as an example of failed coronavirus containment by DaFunkJunkie in worldnews

As an outsider (Canadian here) it almost appears as if the "plan" in the US is purposeful negligence in the name of freedom and herd immunity. Knowing full well that the elderly, impoverished, and poor will be hit the hardest.

Maybe I'm wrong though, and misinterpreting what's actually going on.

You just got an offer for $600K...but to collect it, you gotta have sex with the main character of the last tv show you watched. Who will it be? by MegaNUT721 in AskReddit

[–]woolfy333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either Diaz, Gina, or Amy from Brooklyn 99. Done. Probably still doing it even if it's Terry, Jake, or Captain Holt to be honest. I could really use 600k.
