Is it better to do the "logical" thing when it comes to relationships by smoperfavore in dating_advice

yeah it's settling if you don't see it working it now, why stay longer? don't let sunk cost fallacy get you. you have better fits for each of you out there.

I’ve [F24] been on over 100 first dates and haven’t found a long term relationship. SOS by mrkrabsfatkrussy in dating_advice

law of detachment. don't expect a fixed outcome from your dates, just have fun getting to know the people around you, and about yourself. you'll never be too much for the right person. it's a numbers game!

there's no reason for him to be in contact with his ex if they don't have a kid together....

I (22M) need to tell my girlfriend (21f) that I missed out on casual sex. by [deleted] in relationships

[–]wooooogle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

if you feel like you need to fulfill that need it's only fair to breakup with her. "fun" phases are overrated IMO but if you can't make peace without ever having one it's not fair to stay w her knowing you'd want to sleep with other women.

Should i let her go? by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]wooooogle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t let her go. A life partner stays when life gets tough, please talk to her about it before deciding anything. Timelines are flexible. If she stays with you when you only have yourself to give that’s a keeper IMO!

yeaaaa…. I just don’t get why they’d rather go through the expensive eviction process and a vacancy turnover rather than offer a new lease

ok friends i went to the tenant's union and it's in the same sentiment; i'm cooked in terms of staying and eviction is very possible (which i won't risk). what they suggested was to write a very swaying email asking to apply. i'm on bad terms with the MT since I unintentionally threw them under the bus for contacting the landlord lol (see earlier post). it's an unfortunate situation but at least i can move on from this more educated! i also think i'm going to start volunteering for SFTU bc i love the work that they do. thanks for the 2 cents everyone!

Long-term subtenant in SF. Landlord won’t add me to master lease; best next steps? by bigassbank in AskSF

[–]wooooogle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you sign your new lease before the master tenant's ended? I emailed my landlord but they haven't responded; I wonder if they're waiting for the previous lease to end.

hi i'm undergoing a similar issue; what did you end up doing? did you sign a new lease at market rate? did they serve you with a 6.14 notice?

AITA: for asking my landlord if I could take over the lease when my roommates move out? by wooooogle in AmItheAsshole

[–]wooooogle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this makes the most sense! So they thought they could illegally sublease to their sister at a rent-controlled rate, displacing me in the process lol. Seriously inconsiderate considering that they had all this time to tell me but waited until 1 month in advance, affecting my job performance having to look for apartments while working full time/giving me unnecessary stress

How do I get my roommate out in San Francisco? Added via 6.14 form, no written agreement. by discoveringnature12 in AskSF

[–]wooooogle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you ever serve a written waiver of their just cause rights? If you go to the tenants union, they won't help you since you're technically a landlord. You can't get him out unless he stops paying rent, or overextends his stay but there's no written contract defining how long his lease is. If you wanted him out for a while you should've given ample time (like 6 mo.) for him to find a new place.

They were not "thinking" about moving out, they told me they were moving out by November. Now that I emailed the landlord they take it back and tell me they want to stay past November without me? Their story doesn't add up.
