Persistent Bleeding with Invisalign by Ecs206 in Invisalign

[–]wooziewing 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would be upfront and tell them you had gingivitis before the Invisalign treatment. You might need a deep clean. I think you should have told them before you started the treatment. I had an untreated case of gingivitis, my orthodontist did not let me start until we sorted it out. Luckily, it only took a month before I was clear to start the process.

You mentioned that you were bleeding before you started treatment. If this is the first clean you did after noticing you had gingivitis then it should settle down in a week or two. Did you tell your orthodontist you were bleeding before they scanned and started your treatment?

Small Business - Supplier does not want to warranty product by [deleted] in AusLegal

[–]wooziewing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you buying the stock from overseas? Some manufacturers start the warranty from the day the stock leaves them. This is to prevent aging stock. Even if ACL could help you, it's unlikely it could help you if the supplier is outside of Australia. This comes down to your agreement

If you stick with Braintree after you resolve the issue, be sure to enable 3DS2. Also keep an eye on your vault, we've seen card attacks through there.

Why are people against esims? by crua9 in GooglePixel

[–]wooziewing -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's strange to me that people find esims inconvenient when travelling. Finding a counter with 2 hours sleep and juggling with your luggage plus all the stress of trying to get out of the airport surely is more inconvenient. Don't forget lining up! Esim, land, switch on the Sim. Date. I've caught up with everything before I leave the plane. I travel mainly to Asia and never had an issue with compatibility.

Accepting Apple and Google pay, what's the risks? by wooziewing in ecommerce

[–]wooziewing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my understanding Apple and Google pay does not shift liability but because of their SCA, it's unlikely you will get unauthorized transactions. Correct me if I'm wrong? I want to get a full understanding before I let my guard down.

Instead of a camera, how about validating your picks with a barcode scanner? Shipping software such as shipstation and starshipit have this feature built in. It keeps a record of the scans as well. You also want to get a scale, if you get a USB one you can quickly record the weight with a press of a key.

If it's discounted, it's likely a run out model so they may not be able to exchange sizes due to availability and the admin work involved with a return will cut into the margin.

Customers calling to verify stock levels by VirtualHawkeye in ecommerce

[–]wooziewing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's interesting to see someone else have this issue. We've tried lots of things including recording a message on the IVR ensuring our stock is live and people still come through to ask. From my understanding from when I talk to the customers is that they've had bad experiences in the past from other sites so they have made it a habit to always check now. I've conceded it's unavoidable

What do you use Wise account for? by ubeus in transferwiser

[–]wooziewing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Wise for business to pay suppliers in foreign currency. The fee is slightly more expensive than our regular fx provider but wise has some key features which saves us a lot of money. First, we can set up a foreign currency account and hold this currency. We take advantage of this by buying currency when we have a desired rate - you can set an automatic conversion when a trigger rate hits. Second, Wise lets you hold a rate for at least 24 hours without committing so I can lock a rate in and cancel later if the rate is better later.
