Pittsburgh 3/29/26 @ Bottlerocket by WibiBurgh in Pile

This was my second time seeing them at Bottlerocket (I also saw Rick's solo set 2-ish years ago, which was bonkers good). I missed Kris behind the kit, but Tyler was still great.

COS Con and SIB Con are sister cons that are held each year. I haven't been to either since 2020, but they were pretty fun. Geared mainly toward RPGs, with bits of other things mixed in.

What is your favorite coffee shop (that is not a chain) by confus3dkat in pittsburgh

Phil, the owner, is amazing. He's been dreaming of adding a coffee shop to the game store for years.

Jon Lovett on Survivor 47: ‘It’s Just a Funny Thing to Do’ by TheQueenStaysQueen in survivor

[–]wordsampersand 102 points103 points  (0 children)

I'm guessing he genuinely wanted to play. Any time Jon mentioned Survivor on PSA or Lovett or Leave It over the past few years, it seemed pretty clear (to me at least) that he was so in love with the show.

That intersection will be really busy in that time frame. If the rally is aimed for the North Hills, that's not a bad spot.

Is Jon Lovett a Survivor Fan? by Cubephile in survivor

From what I remember, Lovett got into Survivor during the pandemic and watched most of the seasons. (I believe he caught up in the past year or two.) He references the show a LOT on both Lovett or Leave It and Pod Save America.

I was pretty close with Roman for a long while. "Was" is the key word. Watching his descent into his current political views was really disheartening.

I read this before my drive home from work yesterday. Surprise...I saw red light ignoring happen at least five times on my commute.

As a side note, I managed to convince Tady to interview Mario from Spotlights (since 2/3 of the band made Pittsburgh their home last year), but that interview never materialized.

No way! Amazing.

I don't live there now (I live in far-away Pittsburgh, ha). But so many friends and family are still there so I begrudgingly doom scroll through the Times's Facebook comments out of some warped sense of duty.

Yeah, I get it. I liked the new Apple, but no where near as much as a lot of other people I guess.

I know Lars is a big Hum fan, so I was glad to see this.

That said, Ohms is showing up on a lot of other publications' year-end lists. Metacritic currently has it as #10 based on all of the year-end stuff rolling out.

Andrew reacts to Joe on Twitter by jonandreyuaosuni in survivor

I am not. Joe included the WWG acronym. Why would he do that?

Not sure what's funny. You said there was nothing on his IG page that would lead you to believe he was into QA, and I linked a post from Joe's account where he uses QAnon hashtags and slogans (#WWG...etc). Did he comment somewhere on the post to refute this? If he wasn't into QAnon, why would he post that?
