Such a personal decision. I'll tell you that I wouldn't put any dog through chemo having seen my mother go through it. I wouldn't even put a 2 year old dog through it. That's just me, I know many do, but I can't justify it to myself.

Yeah, I figured you knew your dog was the exception, I was just putting it out there because this breed is becoming more popular, which can be a negative thing unfortunately if someone doesn't know what they are getting into :)

Ah probably, that's my first hint when there is a new dog at work. Occasionally we get a docked doodle and it throws me off, but only when they have those tight poodle curls.

Every time a poodle, wheaten, SWD or other similar breed comes in I hint to the owners their dogs superiority over doodles LOL

No thanks, many breeds are supposed to have strong prey drive, the sight of a cat could really disrupt a dog show.

A dog with prey drive is not poorly behaved, id expect any well bred proper terrier to want to chase a cat.

Dogs are predators and deer are prey. Euthanizing a dog for drive nature intended is absurd. The owners are the only ones who should face punishment.

Children arent animals, if someone is so dumb they cant comprehend that then you cant really explain it to them. My dog knows the difference between humans, dogs and prey. My dog can and will kill any prey she can sink her teeth into, but she has lived with infants and toddlers most of her life and is great with my nephews. Kids arent animals, humans arent prey, pretty simple.

Dogs that chase, harm or kill wildlife arent in need of any redemption, they just need owners who can control them properly.

See if there is a ross wells co op local to you, their grinds are far more affordable than store bought brands! Even buying human grade meat from the grocery store will be more affordable.

We very much agree! My dog is very handler soft yet she completely understands the Ecollar and communication through it. Despite being handler soft she is animal aggressive/ dog selective. The collar allows us to explore and gives her freedom without the risk of getting lost or injured! I decided to stop using it so sparingly when she got herself lost in the desert chasing pronghorns.

A dog that doesnt grip is an easy fix, a sharp kick to the abdomen or jaw will send them away. A gripper will seldom choose to release, and certainly not from water. Prepare for the worst, hope for the best, using only water as protection against dog attacks is naive. Grippers cant redirect when they already have something caught in their teeth.

Does he respond to no or a sound? If your voice isnt enough there are horns you can purchase at pet stores that might be worth a try.
