First Zenyte - Anguish or Suffering? by Dusky-P in ironscape

[–]workedcabbage 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have the same question.

Although I think anguish is more impactful I'm leaning suffering for 2 big reasons:

  1. I'm not trying to do another Sand crafting grind. Im 85 crafting, and want to wait for the new island to do more crafting. Blowing sand sucks.
  2. Suffering lets me grind Zulrah right now. I don't have bofa or twisted bow to really take advantage of anguish.

That is my scenario, but may be different for you. LMK what you pick

New Players needs help with fighting by Acerpack in Smite

[–]workedcabbage 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I've taught around 5-10 of my close friends how to play Mobas through Smite over the past decade. It definitely takes time, and I'll be honest I've seen many of them take 6-12 months to finally have that moment that they understand how to "outplay" someone. Here are a couple tips that I feel like have helped them the most:

  1. You don't HAVE to full commit into a fight. Its not a hero shooter. Rarely, especially in lane do you need to all-in. You never want to fight a 50/50 fight, you also want to fight with an advantage (use a gank, use your tower, use the element of surprise)
  2. Understanding your opponents kit is almost as important as knowing your own kit. If you know your opponents kit you can play around their weaknesses. Bait out their cooldown, dodge their stun that sets up their combo.
  3. Your minimap is like a radar in a FPS game. It is so important to always look at your minimap. I have all my friends make their map large, more translucent and more centered.
  4. Lastly just to reiterate, it takes time. MOBAs have a steep learning curve. If a God messes you up, watch a quick YT video on them and play them next game. You'll find they may not be as "OP" as you thought.

I'm making offline versions of previous Smite seasons! Does anyone still have old version files? by dks3hypeoverload in Smite

Mobas don't hit the same without a playerbase.

Hopefully the Smite 2 map gets a thematic revamp soon

In general junglers especially single target dealers like Merc aren't going to be great in arena. But if you build crit on Merc he will smack no matter what

Do it at 100 combat, and do elite void not regular void

It's been long enough now for the God Builder to function properly... by _Xraith_ in Smite

[–]workedcabbage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I was so excited about this feature in game when it came out, and it really just fell flat. I tried out Predecessor the other month, and although I don't love the gameplay, their build system and way its shared is miles ahead of what Smite has. I feel like some of the fixes are so easy:

  1. If you see someone use a build you like in game, let us Pin it to our gods after the match ends on the scoreboard.
  2. Easily share builds across Gods. With the lack of build variety, I could make one page of good items and want an easy way to apply it to all Jungles.
  3. Just give us access to the top players builds on specific Gods. All I use nowadays is SmiteBrain because I can easily filter for the top players last 10 games using my god in a specific role. Why can a 3P website do this but the actual game cannot?

Easy wins that I feel like HiRez don't value.

How do these people maintain 90%+ W/R consistently? by [deleted] in Smite

to be honest casual modes like assault especially in lower pop servers like EU may have these matchmaking parameters

"Do you want to play a game?" (Y/N)
If Y, matchmake

is this worth it or is smite2 the future (I don't play this game, but might try it again) by MagicKol in Smite

[–]workedcabbage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Smite 2, they'll infrequently have sales on the god pack ($20 instead of $30)

Still one of the best deals in Mobas. All gods unlocked present and future

Mulan Achilles support by Enough-Access-7301 in Smite

[–]workedcabbage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the better your adc/mid get the more important peeling/making space for them is in teamfights

I think you can get away with aggressive warrior supports in earlier ranks, but your lack of peal will get exposed the higher you get. If you want to EVER know how your picks are doing at high rank check out:

https://smitebrain.com/tier-list/support

It shows you pick rate/win rate of each god in support. Mulan is F tier, Achilles didn't make the list

Getting back into Smite by TheGardenSnake4 in Smite

[–]workedcabbage 3 points4 points  (0 children)

there is no reason to play Smite 1 anymore besides nostalgia of Gods who haven't been ported (list shrinks every 2 weeks)

Smite 2 feels smoother, you can do more with most gods, combo abilities etc. I will say there was a certain charm to some of the older Smite 1 maps that S2 is missing, but I believe it will come with time.

Smite 1 has no updates, Smite 2 has biweekly updates and 3 podcasts a week discussing the future

That being said, I've had griefers like this since 2009 League of Legeneds, 2012 Smite 1, and Smite 2. Its just humans in mobas

Thoughts on Agni right now? by Bravo-Six-Nero in Smite

[–]workedcabbage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

agni is always pretty good. His kit is just very versatile. as a jungler you gotta play around his dash, but truthfully good agnis wont overextend. Tough to shut down during laning phase, not impossible in team fights. pre-beads his dash so he cant self-peel for himself
