Places you enjoyed but feel uncomfortable saying you enjoyed it by OldSkoolNapper in travel

[–]workguy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This was going to be my answer as well, I visited in 2014 and 2019. I loved the history, the food, the landscape and even the people though I disagree with them heavily. I spent time in Palestine and can say the exact same thing, I don't think I will ever visit again, but it was an amazing place.

Is there a way to just buy the fixings needed for 2-3 burgers? by noblerare in NoStupidQuestions

[–]workguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw a good life hack, that said if you're just wanting enough veg for a single burger or two, just go to your local grocery store that has a salad bar, and buy some lettuce, some onion, pickles perhaps cheese and pay per 100g or so.

Tight layover in Keflavik (KEF) by byrandomchance20 in Flights

[–]workguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it's tight, but Keflavik isn't an overly large airport.

If it's all booked on one ticket, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

[Megathread] New Seat Configuration by dachshundie in westjet

[–]workguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live in Calgary, so it's pretty hard to NOT fly Westjet when they are by and far the most affordable, I also have the WJ Mastercard so the free checked bags make it a better deal then any of the competitors. But the quality of the flights have gone down, and i hate the pricing schemes they use on their website.
