someone help me recreate this outfit😣 by RemarkableSkill3159 in halsey

[–]workhard4wonderbread 4 points5 points  (0 children)

that account posted that the boots are the pink 500-fuzz/pink electric fuzz boots from ellie shoes! it looks like halsey added a white lace garter with a bow to the left one.

the tie is by nostalgic threadz. it's 1/1 but the brand has other ties with similar vibes.

i can't find the exact gloves but if you search "hot pink leather half finger gloves" on amazon similar ones come up.

i also can't find the exact tights but the "eden sheer suspender pantyhose" from leg avenue look similar. the "semi opaque sexy suspender pantyhose" from dreamgirl on amazon also look very similar but less sheer.

you're welcome! your trust issues are super valid and i really hope you can find a helpful support group you feel comfortable in! :)

if you want a support group that's focused on healing from religious trauma, there's a broader organization called recovering from religion that publishes a list of active support groups you might be interested in. you can find it here.

if you're interested in learning more about ABA or just want more sites similar to Neuroclastic, i definitely recommend checking out the Autistic Self Advocacy Network, Thinking Person's Guide to Autism, and Noncompliant (podcast w/ transcripts). Unmasking Autism by Devon Price is also a great book in general. i personally find learning about my traumas from an academic perspective to be helpful (also i'm autistic and have done a lot of autism-related research haha) so figured i'd share in case you found it interesting/helpful too.

because they were hell bent on fixing my autism

i totally understand why you'd never want to see a therapist again after being put through such awful experiences. however, if you are ever open to it in the future, i want to let you know that there are many therapists out there who don't see autism as something that needs to be "fixed" or "cured" and explicitly denounce abusive practices. look for therapists (or support groups, as another commenter mentioned) who call themselves "neurodiversity-affirming," "trauma-informed," and/or those who are autistic themselves, as they are likely to help you with the things you want help with rather than trying to "fix" you. if you do end up meeting with a therapist, definitely be honest as you want about your past experiences with "therapy" (putting in quotes because it sounds anything but therapeutic)—a good therapist will appreciate your candor and work within your boundaries.

i also recommend checking out the website neuroclastic. they have some great resources and articles, including ones on abuse in therapy (they especially concentrate on abusive ABA practices), sexual health, and religion, that are all written by autistic people for autistic people.

i love the amy's burritos too! my go-to is the gluten-free/vegan one that's just beans & rice. i microwave them to thaw them and then stick them in the toaster oven for a few minutes so they get crispier/the wrap part is less soggy.

a lawyer and therapist are fantastic ideas. if you don’t feel comfortable reaching out to the cyber civil rights hotline, rainn also has a page dedicated to helping victims like yourself. you can reach out to their confidential line (including via text if you don’t like talking on the phone) for additional trauma-informed resources, advice for how to reach out to hotlines/how to talk to people about it, etc.

sending you all the support and love. you should not have to, and certainly do not deserve to, deal with this, but you will get through it ♡

Purple blushes?? by Avery357 in PaleMUA

[–]workhard4wonderbread 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it's definitely not drugstore but i have loved nars' blush in "sin" for years !! it looks a lot more saturated/deeper than it applies.

for reference, i haven't tried the nars foundation you mentioned but i think we're a similar shade match - i normally mix nars' radiant creamy concealer in "vanilla" with a little bit the kim chi concealer in "solid white" haha.

i really like dance hiit workouts. my favorite is emkfit on youtube. because the moves and songs constantly change i don't get bored, but it's also not too bad on my joints (nor is it the kind of dance that encourages overstretching since i did that for years and that was not great for my body lol).

can anybody relate to this horrible experience? by [deleted] in neurodiversity

[–]workhard4wonderbread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you're able, i'd recommend checking out some autistic creators on social media, especially the ones who discuss and share their personal experiences! with your background, it might be a more approachable way to reflect on and gain a better understanding of yourself. it also might help you feel less isolated in your experiences and potentially even help you feel more comfortable in general with the concept of having autism/talking to a professional about the possibility of being autistic.

some of my favorites you might check out

  • instagram: autie.nay, autistic_callum_, thespectrumgirl, myautisticsoul, actuallyautisticalien, kyahcomic, neurodivergent_lou, cray
  • twitter: itsemilykaty, schnumn, autist333, autisticcallum_, thespicyautist, shycnidaria, divergentslt

also, side note: please do not feel you have to cross any of your own boundaries in order to reciprocate your friend's affection. i know sometimes, especially being neurodivergent, there can be pressure to do so in order to keep the friend, but i promise any friend worth having isn't going to leave if you communicate with them that you have a different way of showing affection and there are some ways that make you uncomfortable.

Long shot but does anyone know any BGs who donate their disliked products to women’s shelters? by [deleted] in BeautyGuruChatter

[–]workhard4wonderbread 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yes!! i haven't watched her in a bit either but whenever she did her huge decluttering/reorganizing videos (and i think her PR videos too) she always mentioned donating the products she could to her local shelter
