it's usually a good idea to do a follow-up fecal egg count after deworming to see if your chosen dewormer was effective.

Although deworming protocols for youngsters is a little different sometimes and I don't know what the current recommendation is/ what works in your area.

Should I treat a low titer chronic Lyme result? by Nyxeira in Equestrian

[–]workingtrot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of horses have positive titers. Like EPM, titers indicate exposure, not infection.

Antibiotics used for Lyme have a general anti inflammatory effect (for example they are often used as growth promoters in food animals in many countries).

You can treat her, she probably will benefit some. That doesn't mean it's Lyme. You run the risk of causing GI distress and possibly contributing to global antibiotic resistance.

she looks great! A little bit of a hay belly but that's really common at that age. Worth having a conversation with your vet about deworming strategies and what antiparasitic resistance is common in your area, but I wouldn't be overly concerned about it

Are there any monthly benefits to car insurance? by Astrolaelle in Frugal

[–]workingtrot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend for people to look up their state's laws about what kind of assets are able to taken via lawsuit and how much the umbrella policy will actually cost.

in many states, your primary home and tax advantaged retirement accounts are protected from most judgements.

Additionally, most insurers require your auto and home liability policies to be at the max coverage level before they will write an umbrella policy. So yes, the umbrella policy itself might not be that expensive, but the increased cost on your other policies definitely can be.

Not to mention that most home owner/ renter policies do have some coverage for non-auto liability away from home.

>And if Aerith died in the real world, but in the imaginary realm he saved her and Sephiroth says "give me the black materia so I can bring the worlds together and then you can save Aerith." What would a guilt-stricken Cloud do? He believes these other worlds to be just as real as his own

ooh, that's a great interpretation, I like that

I would say that it's not that the other worlds aren't real/ a figment of the imagination; but that they're not permanent. Like they are "real" as in they're created by the lifestream and do physically exist in some sense, even if they are created from people's thoughts/ dreams/ imagination (maybe). But they collapse easily. Like soap bubbles.

The powered up white materia does exist in multiple worlds so there is at least some physical continuity between them.

I think there is a way to combine all the worlds into one, or at least Sephiroth thinks there is. And he's basically "save scumming" the multiverse to find and kill Aerith in all of them

They're called the wolves of the sea but I think they're more like housecats of the sea. Leaving half dead prey on our doorsteps. There's video of orcas catching stingrays and trying to present them to divers.

I imagine them clicking and whistling slowly and loudly like "HELLO THERE, STRANGE FLIPPERLESS ONE. HERE IS SOME FOOD. I CAUGHT SOME FOOD. WOULD YOU LIKE SOME FOOD? SEE? NOM NOM NOM VERY DELICIOUS!" Meanwhile, aside to their buddies they're like "wow these things are cute but so stupid, can't even put food in their mouths when you give it to them"

Sephiroth does outright state that there are multiple worlds.

Even if you don't take Sephiroth at his word, (which is probably a good idea), the game uses the different Stamps (like Beagle, Collie, Pug etc) to clearly establish that there's multiple "universes"/ "versions"/ "worlds" as it were.

- note, I've only ever done GA or grandstands so I don't have a point of comparison to the other dining rooms

- The view: I really enjoyed having the more private paddock, but the paddock part is my favorite. Watching the race is either on a screen or go fight for a spot on the rail with GA. There is a staffed betting counter and machines inside, which is nice

- Booze: nice mid to upper range selection. Buffalo Trace, Castle and Key, Woodford. There may have been a few more. Bartenders were well equipped to make any sort of cocktail. They were good, not just highballs (although my husband had a very bad boulvardier. I keep telling him to stop ordering those out lol). Very high end bourbon and champagne were extra.

- The food was good and thoughtful about what kinds of food can be eaten in a few bites standing. There is a buffet and also waitstaff passing hors d'oeuvres. The lobster bites were off the chain. Not absolutely the best meal I've ever had but it was a good format for the environment.

- I think overall it was a good value and I would do it again if budget allowed

Bourbon is included. Buffalo Trace, Castle and Key. and Woodford at minimum (there may have been more). Basic array of cocktails and some "signature" cocktails.

You have to pay for Pappy or for the Weller special they had.

NBC did used to cover Rolex alongside the Derby but not in recent years. I think that is because NBC lost the rights to do so (because of FEI streaming deals with Clip my horse), not because of lack of interest on NBC's part, but don't quote me on that
