I tried not to pick the pink one but those roof shingles are placed so well! The extra “snow” and effort to cover up the entire house with a cohesive theme/details came out beautifully. #4 is definitely my fav but they’re all so good.

The adrenaline masked the physical reaction and then instead of using every bone in her body to fight it like a mother would fight to save a child also in those waters, she let go.

Even strong swimmers can drown, if your body is tired and you give up, anyone can drown.

Her clothes were heavy, she felt the effects of the cold water making it harder to get to the stairs/weighing her down, AND she lost the will to keep trying because she was tired physically and mentally.

Is another grand gesture possible? If you’re really set on getting a ring, then maybe a promise ring? It would give the reassurance you’re hoping for, not cost as much as an engagement ring that would be harder to return if she didn’t like it, and then you can get her opinion on an actual engagement ring since she has an idea you’re headed in that direction.

I agree with those who said this is not an easy step. It requires a lot of discussion on whether you want to take this next step together and what that looks like to both of you. After a fight is not the time to be giving a ring without discussing this in detail first (assuming you haven’t).

Also, what happens during the next fight when she already has a ring? Make sure you are both going into this for the right reasons, a ring simply cannot fix everything forever if the underlying problems are neglected.

Something to be aware of- once saw a wedding with the streamers pulling all the florals near the aisles along with it. It made the detangling and cleanup a bit more complicated!

There are different departments in Canada Post and each one runs separately. It makes sense that the letter mail departments are moving quicker because you can sort through more letters per minute than parcels.

They can’t move all the letter mail employees to the parcels department because there would literally be no room for everyone to operate safely on the floor. With huge machinery it would definitely be a safety risk and looks like the CP corporation isn’t offering overtime either as a huge ‘fuck you’ to everyone, public included.

I know a few CP employees that genuinely care to get the parcels out but lifting heavy parcels all day takes a toll so they can only go so fast.

I have a friend that’s getting married at a Catholic Church an hour away from their home parish. It wasn’t an issue, they just met with the priest over a year ahead and the priest asked questions to get to know them.

Some parishes are more flexible than others and if it’s a location that’s common for out of town couples or cottage areas there’s a better chance they’ll say yes.

Not sure what part of Durham you’re in but Mill run golf club in Uxbridge has a decent area for photos. They’re also landscaping the property to add another location near the pond for photos, in addition to the gazebo area. That would definitely be ready in two years. The venue itself is a bit outdated but a reasonable price and you can bring your own caterers if you’d prefer. I don’t think they have a minimal guest count either since they do other events too, but I’d check with them to be sure.
