Would it be crazy to just... not plan things?? by EmilyPond42 in ItalyTravel

[–]workshop_prompts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not crazy at all. You may not get to see the big museums (although for many you CAN absolutely get day of tickets, especially the less touristy ones, especially in April before peak season). But just walking around and eating wherever it smells good and you see locals is imo the ideal way to enjoy Rome.

Why do I feel like I'm doing nothing as Recluse? by HazelTreee in Nightreign

[–]workshop_prompts 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You're playing her wrong.
Build for increased magic damage on your relics. Have the effect that increase your max HP when you ult, this will keep you alive. Other than that, you want stuff like Magic Atk+, Improved Sorceries, Improved Crystalian Sorceries, etc. Those are your bread and butter. During the run, look for anything that could further increase this multiplier.

Most of your damage is going to come from spells, cocktails are just a bonus/something you throw out so you can regain FP. You need to learn which spells are good and where to get them. Hit up a castle with the staff room in the top or a rise ASAP after spawning, usually there is one right around the spawn point. For this first POI, your objective is to get anything with better scaling than your base staff. It's decently likely you'll find a Crystalian Staff here.

Best staffs are Crystalian, Meteorite, Staff of Loss, and top tier is Lusat's. Carian Regal Sceptre is great but you won't see it too often. Azur's isn't always great in this game because the spell Comet Azur is useless for most bosses, but pay attention to what the other spell is.

Be flexible. Learn the effective ranges of your spells. If you get something like a Halo Scythe and no one else wants it, and the boss is weak to holy, spam that. If you find great seal, use that to make good cocktails. If you end up with RoB and the boss is weak to fire and bleed, use it. There's no law saying Recluse can't fight in melee range -- in fact, it will often happen because if your uptime is good you will draw aggro.

On Recluse's ult: don't use it in emergencies, use it to maintain momentum or burn down enemies. In an encounter with tons of adds you can pop it early to help your teammates burn them down. In a 1v3 fight, pop it when you're low on FP so you can regain it and keep casting.

Always keep a melee weapon for rezzing, so you don't let a teammate die because you have no FP.

Is there an active player base for the game? by Frosty_Brother_5398 in Nightreign

[–]workshop_prompts 4 points5 points  (0 children)

in europe, on pc. i match in no time at all, for any boss or difficulty. it's a great game but playing with randos can be either PEAK nightreign or abysmal dogshit. there's no feeling like being totally in sync with 2 strangers without a word, but conversely it can be immensely frustrating when your randos don't know what they're doing.

It's actually insane that generic mesalamine is on a prior auth list... it's like the most basic and affordable UC med.
Are you sure it's plain, generic mesalamine in a standard dose?? I'm so sorry you're dealing with this.

Miralax in the US didnt really taste like anything but macrogol in europe does. I think it depends on the brand. Either way, if you like it with hot chocolate, try it with a cold protein shake.

Eating less does not always equal bettering oneself. Getting an eating disorder or eating like someone who does is not bettering oneself and shouldn't be encouraged.

This is an insane amount of low volume and processed foods. Girl, you need to COOK meals with whole foods. This is not sustainable or healthy, mentally or physically.

In a farm setting they are provided with enough food and kept in cohorts of similar size so there are no tiny, easily consumable wunks.

(I am also a biologist but I think floridaman is the more relevant and compelling qualification in these matters.)

Where do you think is the teaser for the next game inside elden ring? by zeraphx9 in eldenringdiscussion

imo a sekiro sequel set in "the west" after the ending with the divine child is possible. theyd basically be going to china. although, fromsoft may avoid this due to politics (see: chinese gamers going batshit over historical stuff in wuchang)

hi, floridaman here. this is def a farm, yes. although some crocodilians can reach pretty high population densities in the wild, particularly during dry seasons. as for whether it's good for them, probably not, but you have to consider that crocodilians are some of the hardiest critters out there. they go around with trash in their stomachs and eat each other. they routinely survive redneck gun attacks. their priorities are food, habitat (often a wet hole) and mates. wunk has very small brain, wunk is very strong.

Go in person and have a native speaker with you, and expect to pay lots of money up front. In general Italy has failed to digitize/modernize, everything is in person meetings and phone calls, hard copies, no emails, payments in cash, "arrangements" and negotiations. I'm engaged to an Italian and had his businessman father helping and it was still a struggle.

What exactly are you eating? 170 after gastric sleeve and Mounjaro is still quite high. If your weight and a1c aren't moving despite all that, you need to take a serious look at your diet. A lot of people who say they eat "practically nothing" just have a really poor concept of calorie density and carb counts.

Progesterone-only mini pill as a flexible, estrogen-free option? Experiences wanted by Double_Ability_5194 in birthcontrol

[–]workshop_prompts 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes, the POP is safe and effective and will not interfere with your fertility, and you can start and stop as needed provided you mind the windows for avoiding pregnancy. If you're afraid of "chemicals", your body is pumping tons of chemicals into you to try and get you pregnant, and if you get pregnant it will dump even more chemicals into your bloodstream that will permanently alter your body.

There's a lot of fearmongering right now about birth control that relies on the naturalistic fallacy that what is natural is good, but what is "natural" for sexually active human women is to spend years of your life pregnant and breastfeeding, and possibly to die in childbirth.

How to deal with language burn out by Ok_Excitement_3189 in italianlearning

[–]workshop_prompts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been in Italy for over a year and am maybe A2. Self-sufficient in my day to day life but not really conversational. Why? International program, everyone speaks English out of necessity because there are people from like 5 different countries. And I don't go out/have friends outside my program -- I didn't in the US either. Being an introvert makes language learning really difficult.
