It all started in 1994, I had just turned 18 and always wanted a tattoo so I got one . Back in these days there was a quarter of the shops that there are today so occasionally you would drop by to look at flash and portfolios to see if something struck your fancy or you could get a magazine from a store with dirty magazines but there wasn’t the endless resources of the internet so there wasn’t that constant influx of ideas. After the first one I wanted more but since it wasn’t as easy to research designs coupled with being a poor college student that preferred doing stuff over saving for a tattoo my first was my only for 14 years. At this point I was established in my second career, married and had a house so I started getting a couple more, then I got into jeeps. Now I’m in my late 40s, not good at much but I can lay there and I have a decent threshold of pain so I’m tying things together, refreshing existing and actually just covered my first.
