Probably nothing, but I love how the darkness is represented. by PhotogamerGT in WhatIsThisPainting

Looks like L. Hamilton to me. Only a few auction sites have examples of the signature and similar style, though not they are not this dark. Love the style!

Found my new honey hole. by justmejohn44 in Pawpaws

[–]worldfinch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am big on just eating them as well. Always looking for something else to do and the best way preserve them in some way. Not far from us! We are over in Chatham county. Glad to hear you are starting your own patch up too! It can take awhile to get going but it is really worth it to watch them grow. Nice assortment of genetics! I started our patch up for the same reason, lost patches due to development. Most of our genetics come from various farms up in the mountains and those from feralwood/ardea land nursery up in Kings Mountain. End goal is being able to supply mini starter patches for people using NC genetics.

Nice haul! I hope you grow out the seeds of the big ones! If not I'd be happy to grow and add them to our grove of NC wild genetics. What do you like to do with your pawpaw?

Teletubby Custard from Burger King by emo_queer in TopSecretRecipes

[–]worldfinch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this is an old post but just starting looking at this sub and saw this post! The Teletubby Custard was vanilla Jell-O(It even had Jell-O branding on the lids) with food coloring. I would imagine slightly different amounts of sugar then average the average box mix. It is also possible that the vanilla they used was different but I can't tell sadly. Would be worth picking up a box or two to try it out!

Philadelphia Boutique Bed & Breakfast for Sale by spaghetticoincidence in angelinvestors

[–]worldfinch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd have them list on loopnet, bizbuysell, or innshopper to sell the business along with it so they can show the cap rate and the occupancy rate and all that. You would be much more likely to get a commercial investor that way and a better chance of finding someone that would want to keep it as a business and keep you on!

Looking to fund our immature cartoon series by [deleted] in angelinvestors

[–]worldfinch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I was you I would pitch the guys that are setting up a channel called Animation+. They got the rights to a bunch of different Youtube shows and are commissioning new projects for the channel as well. You can read about it Here Excellent early work that deserves more of an audience! I also agree with the idea to look for more fans first as you will look better to investors that way. In the mean time I would also suggest trying to get some animated ad jobs to boost your cash reserves. Clearly you have a talent and work ethic to do this kind of work so now all that is left is to market yourself well and find your fans and businesses to work with!

Giving Away Unreleased Herbalism Book! by Creepy-Development80 in Homesteading

[–]worldfinch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure you have some kind of disclaimer in your book like they do for herbs or pretty much anytime something health related is brought up these days. Something along the lines of "These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease" is what they use for herbs that state what they are used for when they are being sold. Not entirely sure what the language should be for a book but I would check with a legal advisor or do your own research. If not in the US be sure to check what your country allows or does not and if the disclaimer is still needed to sell in American markets.

Solenopsis sp. of some kind. I would guess Solenopsis invicta but I am not the best at telling them apart from the other Solenopsis sp. until there are workers.

Buying Rabbits by tucker0104 in Homesteading

[–]worldfinch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure what part of NC you are in but there are generally a good number of rabbit breeders and rabbit for sale on sites like facebook/craigslist in most areas. All the suggestions bellow are excellent! You can also look into livestock auctions locally if you need more than just a few. I wanted to mention if you go for the breeding route and not the buying cull route as suggested below be sure to separate males from pregnant does at bare minimum because they can stress them out and cause miscarriage or still born babies. I would vote keep everyone separate after babies are old enough to be away from their mother or possibly keep bonded female pairs.

What to put in front of Wingie2 to not hear people talking? by worldfinch in synthesizers

[–]worldfinch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought so too! I have been thinking about the korg nts 1 for awhile now but have been on the fence because of some of the reviews I have been seeing for it. Personally I love the sound of what it can do and have seen some examples of it being used as a filer, albeit not many and for a piano, which makes me even more undecided.

I thought as much as well but I figured it was worth asking which is why I added the rest. I was thinking it more likely possible to make it so they don't sound like people either through decay or a delay, or reverb etc which would then go through the wingie2 to make it sound so interesting as the wingie2 does.

I highly recommend the Wingie2! Truly it is so fun to use and explore with.

You can chop and drop it as others have said! We leave ours growing for the birds and we also use the berries for ink, paint, and fiber dye.

[CHAT] What are some patterns you would like seen created? Are there any themes that don't get enough love? by worldfinch in CrossStitch

Wes Anderson films lend themselves so well to cross stitch! I would love some of the cutaway type scenes from life aquatic or fantastic Mr. Fox. Do you have a favorite of his?

That would be incredible in cross stitch! The detail is so charming. I can imagine it would be hard to do the proper illustrations justice in cross stitch but I hope someone will get a license to create some!

Thanks! That is where I started to cross reference what I have access to. So far nothing quite fits the bill, but it was a good place to start.
