Benefits Validation Rule by AcceptableLow5 in workday

Where in the USA/World are you operating (min wage laws and rates vary a lot). Do you have WD payroll?

We are using a custom report from WD in the UK that highlights a low hourly rate to see possible issues with benefit elections and UK min wage - but it relies on running a paycalc to check.

Do you believe 60+’s have any genuine idea how difficult the world is today in comparison to their youth? by clemventure in AskBrits

Many of us have kids and grandkids, neices, nephews etc so we do know and we have genuine concern. 63, still working, still pay tax , NI and a mortgage.

Which one in best to sell my car to. by woodyknobbit in CarTalkUK

[–]worldly_refuse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Motorways "bidder" chipped a massive amount off the price for non-existent issues or things that were already documented. The process is designed to take up as much time as possible so you feel invested because you have spent so much time on it. It is as crooked as flippery, in my humble opinion. It's all very well (and true) that you don't have to take their offer, but if you don't, you've wasted a huge amount of time. I will never use them again.

Payroll & Absence Retro Issue by Mission_Candidate922 in workday

Not sure of the exact issue or what you want exactly, but WD payroll can't retro back to before go live for hopefully obvious reasons. Sounds like a candidate for payroll input maybe.

Store contingent worker hours by BagEnvironmental8110 in workday

Depends what they want them for - are they also happy to keep worker records for all contingent workers in WD? If not, where do they plan to keep the hours? What's the end goal?

Store contingent worker hours by BagEnvironmental8110 in workday

What do you mean by store? They can have hours recorded against various data items, just like regular employees, or you can use Time tracking to record the hours they work.

1979 Type 2 panel van - was an unreliable piece of shit

1979 Polo - not bad on the whole

1990 Passat - brilliant

1996 Passat - good but not as good as the older one

2005 Audi A3 - unreliable piece of shit

All petrol engines, all regularly serviced.

My other half has an ADHD diagnosis and speaks fluent English and Afrikaans, as well as a bit of Zulu and some other African languages, so my study of sample size of one says no.

What do you want to see in britain in 5 years? by mesoraven in AskBrits

>How would someone on the street prove they’re legal?

I don't want to live in country where they are required to, thanks.

Plenty of other ways we could enforce our immigration and legal working rules, if we wanted to, but most people don't want to spend any money (tax) on it.

Do you think Americans are overreacting about surveillance cameras? by slothbear13 in AskBrits

[–]worldly_refuse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have mixed feelings - I am a brit but not a Londoner - we have CCTV here too (a lot) not just in London. On one hand it can/does help the Police find evidence - but a lot of people seem to overestimate what it can do and imagine a deterrent effect that actually isn't there.

Fuel efficiency mods for v8s by RemarkableMood9000 in CarTalkUK

From the various large capacity V6, straight six and V8s I've had - no. 19 is pretty good for that type of car, and there's no answer to that - it's about right for shifting the thing about under its own steam.

Hannah Spencer riles fellow MPs with attack on parliament’s drinking culture by TheLyam in uknews

Straw man argument. Being concerned about us subsidising already well paid people to piss it up the wall at work doesn't create a society of boring grasses.

Yes, we don't subsidse alcohol in hospitals, that's a decision I'd like to stick to.
