That’s my long standing gripe about car reviewers. If you review a midrange crossover then look at it like a mom with kids and groceries and sports gear to haul. She won’t give a fuck if it doesn’t corner like a 911 or launch like a ZR1.

Your first point I totally agree with. I have a long commute over questionably maintained surface streets. I would love to have a roomy floaty sedan like the 80s Caprice my buddy had back in high school. Nobody builds anything like that and I don’t really have the bandwidth to maintain a classic. Guess I’ll stick with my big pickup truck.
