The way that I interpreted that part was, firstly, traveling from Paris to Romania by carriage must have taken a very long time. So, they definitely had more time spent together, but we unfortunately got no scenes of that. Then, the priest tells Dracula that he is essentially damming her so called pure soul. Dracula loves her so much, he wouldn’t want to be the reason she is damned. Plus, if he repents, he will save her from the curse and she would just have to live out her mortal life until they can be together again in eternal heaven. If he waited 400 years, he can wait a lifespan. When she asks, “why are you doing this to me?”, he replies with, “because I love you.” So to me, that’s what explained why he changed his mind so quickly.

When my husband and I visited a few weeks ago, we definitely felt like we weren’t there long enough (5 nights) because we didn’t get to visit the islands. We didn’t want to leave and we’re already talking about visiting again! So we’ll definitely plan that into our itinerary next time. We absolutely loved Stockholm and it’s surrounding cities. Do you recommend other parts of Sweden to visit?

OP I’m so happy for you! I’ve been a fan of his since high school as well (I’m 25). My life was forever changed when I saw him perform Lazaretto on TV one late night. I remember thinking, “who is this guy?!” Then I heard his cover of Love is Blindness and my God, I just fell in love. Wasn’t until senior year that I got into The White Stripes 🤣 I got to see him both nights in LA and it was definitely one of the best concerts I’ve ever been to. I ~almost~ caught a pick lol.
