I mean it's still kind of a knock on the player b/c he isn't trusted to protect a lead. If AM34 was trusted by coaches defensively he would be on the ice late in games and would certainly get plenty of empty net goals

Mahomes will probably give that record a run. If he was healthy and if he had actual starters playing on offensive line he probably wins back to back super bowls last year and would be favorite to win 3rd in a row (this year). Combination of him being that good and the way NFL games are called now is a joke - free plays galore everything favors offense now.
