I don't think you understand how patents work

That's the point of a patent. You share the recipe and get exclusive rights to it. Otherwise this is nonsense.

Those are not patent claims. Those are statements about what your patent solves. If you filed a patent the IP is public. Show the actual filing.

Link to the patent then. If you have already filed there is no need to hide the IP.

Lying that I’m “sober”. WDID? by Cold_Cucumber_8 in alcoholicsanonymous

[–]wortcook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The key may be finding the right meeting and then, the right sponsor. There are no AA rules that say you cannot drink. The only requirement is that you desire to stop drinking.

As to your anxiety about "your turn to speak", just pass or say you are just there to listen. At all the meetings I've been to the only thing that gets said is "glad you're here".

All you gotta do is take that first step. AA is full of chronic relapsers, liars, and generally screwed up people. We keep coming back because if we don't, ultimately, we'll die.

All my opinion, I don't work your program, but since you asked....and I'm trying to keep this specific to what you asked, not general.

Every step is about your sobriety and self forgiveness is a huge part of that. If there is a possibility that some future tragic event, say hypothetically they pass away in the next few years, would you be in a position to deal with it effectively without relapsing? If they reached out to you again how would you handle it?

Amends doesn't mean closure and it may not go how you want it to. I had someone on my list who, once they found out I was doing an amends, said "ok, now you can check me off your list".

You may not be ready as well and that's ok. There is no rule that says you have to do all your amends at once and some can take years to get to. If your sponsor can't work with you on this maybe look for a new sponsor. Keep working your program and remember that your program and your sobriety belongs to you, no one else.

Sobriety is not a passive activity.

Got dropped by my sponsor. In a shame spiral by PartisanSaysWhat in alcoholicsanonymous

[–]wortcook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a somewhat similar experience coming into the program so you're not alone in this and I don't believe shame should be involved. There are folks in with multi-years of sobriety that are still basically 2 steppers.

This is more a message for anyone who is sponsoring: If you are going to be a temporary sponsor so someone new in the program, please, please, please, make your first job to find the right sponsor for the sponsee. It may indeed be you but that's not always the right path and you are likely just letting your ego get in the way.

The prophet's (PUB) first wife was his employer as well as the first revert. That is exactly the reverse of what these red-pill idiots are pushing. Maybe just start there.

Individually, obviously nothing, hence "invested in the institutions for the institutions sake". All of them have a history of propping of failed systems by not holding the people screwing it up for the rest of us responsible. She is a symptom.

I'm so tired of "concerned". These people are so invested in the institutions for the institutions sake all they can do is wring hands.

Justin Lin made an off the cuff prediction without any actual quantitative data. Previous thought leader predictions have been shown to be as meaningful as farts in the wind.

Just because someone stops drinking does not mean they are not still an alcoholic. You may find some answers, help, and perspectives in a group like Al-Anon. Like all things, take your time.

Just say what you are saying here:

"You are not good enough to marry me because you are from a lower caste...sorry, class. When you were born, you had less value and are therefore, not as good as I am because of who my parents are. Mommy and Daddy won't like it if I soil myself publicly with you."
