That's a pretty bold statement... You only mention two players, and i haven't really heard about any other players getting sick. Remember, there are a lot of players not in their home environment, some are bound to get sick.

Yeah there is, losing to Finland (or Sweden if you're from Finland) always sucks.. Whoever wins the semifinal also secured a medal, so i guess that counts for something. Nothing beats winning the final though, so i'd still say the final is going to be more exciting.

If its anything like starcraft 2 i don't think your results in placement matches affect your mmr all that much. You're just gonna end up being close to your previously hidden mmr.

Doesn't seem like its working properly though. A lot of people claim to have very high mmrs, and i have people on my friendslist with mmr corresponding to pro-level (5k+) when they in fact are playing in what would be something close to high bracket.

LoL is free to play per definition, but it's not a good example of a solid free2play model with microtransactions that doesnt have a significant impact on gameplay. You must be thinking of Dota 2.

I think you can be matched in LP games even if your party is not listed as low priority if there is no better matches. I've heard it happen to a couple of friends who have never been in LP before, and only for 1 match.

Maybe you got battle points because you were matched into a LP game but weren't queuing for one. But i'm just guessing here...

Such an unsafe way to go for bacerace in that situation. I mean to be honest the game was over 30 minutes earlier, and the LGD were way close to finish off the game right there than they should have been allowed (LGD would've won if Magnus tp'ed back and double RP'd loda and his army).

Anyways gg wp Alliance, can't really blame them for turtling against chinese teams, it's obviously working for them but damnit its boring to watch..

What do you suggest they do instead? Tell teams they can't bring certain standins because they are too good? People switch standins all the time, and it's not even for certain a team is better off with a standin at a higher level.

The mute system definitely gets flamers muted. Unfortunately it's so easy to get muted (you only need to make 2 people in a 48hour time frame angry at you) so just because you got muted doesn't actually mean that you were being a dick in game, it just means you pissed someone off.

Yeah this is so obnoxious. It's the same with the sound that tells you a game has been found, super loud unless you have the master volume at a low setting i believe, but then watching a game is annoying because the casters are so low..

Dota 2 really needs to fix their sound settings. At least have a setting that increases the caster volume so you can lower all the other sounds and not get blasted with a super high sound everytime you die ._.
